Oretta Restaurant in Toronto

Grab an Instagrammable brunch at Oretta

Oretta is one of the cutest and most Instagram-worthy brunch spots in Toronto, and they’ve got a unique Italian take on brunch.

Their restaurant is absolutely gorgeous, with art deco-inspired walls and pink and gold touches everywhere.

Attached to the restaurant is also a little café, where you’ll find Italian-style espresso coffees and artisanal baked goods on the menu.

It’s the perfect spot if you’re just looking for a quick little bite or espresso fix!

Taste small-batch chocolate at SOMA Chocolate

In the mood to try some locally-made, small-batch chocolate?

Head over to SOMA Chocolatemaker on King West and pick a few fancy chocolates to taste.

From truffles to toffee, they have all kinds of delicious chocolatey treats worth trying.

If you’re visiting during the summer, they’ve also got some of the best gelato in Toronto!

They also have a location in the Distillery District that you can visit.

Majesty's Pleasure on King West in Toronto

Get your nails done at Majesty’s Pleasure

But first, manicures (and a cocktail, please).

Majesty’s Pleasure is a pretty-in-pink beauty salon that doubles up as a bar and café.

So yes, you can choose between cocktails or coffee!

Bring a gal pal and indulge in aesthetically-pleasing drinks and manicures for a pampered afternoon.

Wilbur Mexicana in Toronto, Ontario

Enjoy lunch at Wilbur Mexicana

If you’re a lover of tacos, you’re in luck.

Wilbur is one of the best taco spots in Toronto, and it’s located right by King & Portland!

The Carne Asada, Al Pastor, Bulgogi, and Baja Fish tacos are all my faves.

They’ve even got a fully stocked salsa bar for your choice of heat, whether you’re into strawberry-flavoured salsa or super spicy hot sauce.

Be sure to grab a bottle of Jarritos or a cup of their house-made agua frescas to help keep the spice down!

Play an escape room at Escape Manor

As a lover of puzzles, I’m always down to visit new escape rooms, and Escape Manor is located conveniently on King West.

You can choose between 6 different escape rooms, each allowing anywhere from 4 to 10 players.

Aside from their escape rooms, they also offer axe throwing and board games!

If you’re in the mood for a snack, you can even grab cocktails, local craft beer, and chef-inspired bites.

Try a class at one of King West’s trendy fitness studios

Thanks to the younger demographic in the King West neighbourhood, you’ll find plenty of trendy fitness studios.

Try a bootcamp class at Fit Factory, a pilates class at elleTO, or a boxing class at Studio K-O.

Forget Me Not Café, Toronto

Go café hopping at some cute King West coffee shops

Café hopping is one of my fave activities to do in Toronto, and there are some really cute coffee shops along King West.

Stop into Forget Me Not, Jimmy’s Coffee, and Shy Coffee for great cups of java and Instagram photo opps.

Northern Maverick Brewing in Toronto, Ontario

Taste local craft beer at Northern Maverick Brewing Co.

Enjoy elevated Canadian cuisine and craft beer at Northern Maverick.

They’re one of the best local craft breweries in Toronto, and they’ve got some incredible food on the menu as well.

Although they’re known for being a brewery, they’re actually one of my favourite restaurants in the city!

Feel free to grab a six pack at their retail store on your way out.

Lavelle Rooftop Bar in Toronto, Ontario

Sip on cocktails at Lavelle

Lavelle is a fancy schmancy rooftop bar in the King West neighbourhood, and they’ve got one of the best patios in Toronto.

Grab a cocktail, lay by the pool, and enjoy the swanky views of the Toronto skyline.

If you’re in the mood for some bar and club hopping, take a short walk over to Belfast Love Public House, Early Mercy, or Petty Cash.

LOCATION: 627 King St W, Toronto, ON

Play some ping pong at SPiN Toronto

If you’re not much of a bar or club person, skip Lavelle and come straight to SPiN for an action-packed night of ping pong.

It costs $58 an hour to rent a table, so you’ll want to bring a few friends to split the cost.

They’ve also got a few food options and an extensive drink selection if you’re in the mood for some late night bites and sips.
