These are my favourite memories and moments of 2015.

I went to the Stanley Kubrick exhibition at TIFF Bell Lightbox with Kevin and Lia and it was really cool. TIFF had this whole Kubrick thing going on and I saw Lolita with Nick, Shahrzad, and Josephine. The funny thing is that I don’t particularly like any of Kubrick’s films. I did like The Shining after watching Room 247 though.
Saul Bass’ signature is goals.
I went to the Canadian International Auto Show with my dad and brother and took some pretty cool photos. I like nice cars but I’m not really into cars. I mostly just like taking pictures of them.
Shahrzad and I spent Valentine’s Day watching Blue Valentine and it was nice.
Shahrzad and I had a lot of great shows during this semester. We do an internet radio show called Rock N Rage during the school year.
Kevin, Lia, Nick, Lily, and I went to the TARA Awards. We didn’t want to go to the afterparty so we went to Queen Street Warehouse instead. It was really crowded and we had to share a table with another group of people but it was still fun.
We officially founded AXPO Films on April 17th (missing Nick in the photo):
And thus began our tradition of having Banh Mi Boys and Chatime at the SLC.
We went to the OCAD Grad Exhibition and “Untitled (Booty)” became our favourite piece. This second one was my favourite.
Rui and I went to Ertefa but we only stayed a half hour because we felt out of place.
Kevin, Lia, Lily, and I went to see the cherry blossoms at High Park.
Jerry, Henry, Matt, and I went to a Jays game and we had really nice seats.
Rui and I went to Woodbine Beach for Canada Day but we didn’t make it on time to see the fireworks up close. We ended up watching them from a grassy hill nearby. We walked all the way to Dundas and River and then took a taxi to Denny’s for a late dinner.
Jerry, Henry, and I went to Elora to go tubing.
We +Matt watched the CN Tower fireworks and explored the Financial District. We named our group chat “Urban Explorers” (even though we’re not really).
We went to Hamilton and explored some amazing waterfalls.
I started Diary of a Toronto Girl on August 21st. The three posts I have on here prior to the 21st are migrated posts from a WordPress blog I started before I figured out I wanted to have an actual blog. I wouldn’t have been able to start this blog without Farzad.
I met Emily near the end of August and we spent the last few weeks of summer together.
I spent the entire Fan Expo weekend with my sister.
Rui and I spent the last day of summer together.
Shahrzad and I accidentally attended a dating event.
I saw Man Down at TIFF with Nick, Shahrzad, and Josephine. On this day I also won tickets to Riot Fest.
Adam and I went to Riot Fest together.
I went to Nuit Blanche with Rui and Nick. We ran into other people we knew and ended the night with dim sum in Chinatown. This was one of my favourite nights of 2015.
I spent most of Halloween with Shahrzad and Natalie. Erin, Erinn, Larissa, and Nicole came later for a bit. We went to a party after but I ended up leaving early with Adam.
Adam started Students of Ryerson and we did a few shoots throughout November.
Adam surprised me with roses one night. I (regrettably) deleted this photo while cleaning up my Instagram and I realized I didn’t have it saved on my computer so I had to scavenge the internet to find it.
We went to a few museums and galleries throughout December. The AGO was one of my favourite places we went to. We went to a sketchy Subway for dinner and we think the washroom was haunted. We had to go down a sketchy staircase and we decided to wash our hands together because it was so creepy in there. While we were washing our hands, we heard loud banging noises and we freaked out and we ran out of the restaurant. Afterwards we met up with Kevin, Lia, Nick, and Lily at Snakes and Lattes.
We went to the ROM and Gardiner Museum one evening. He threw plastic vegetables at me.
Jasmine and I had a sister day and shopped, had desserts, and did a room escape.
Adam and I went to Polson Pier to do the countdown. We thought we’d see the fireworks at Nathan Phillips Square but they weren’t high enough to be seen. We thought people would do the countdown but no one did. We thought it wouldn’t be as cold as it was but it was insanely cold. We only stayed there for 10 minutes to take pictures.
I had this entire post written up about my thoughts and feelings throughout 2015 and it was a little too personal to post on here. I struggled with myself a lot as a person this year but things got better with the help of my good friends and my amazing family.
Looking back now, I had a pretty good year. I hope 2016 is twice as good.
