I’ve never been big on trying out new beauty products. It’s fun, but when it comes to makeup, I’ve always been the type of person who sticks to what they know. I actually purchased a few new products to bring along with me while I travelled this month, and I thought it’d be fun to review them.
Smashbox Camera Ready BB Cream SPF 35 (x)
I bought this to wear in HK because I didn’t want to cake my face in liquid foundation everyday. This is the first BB cream I’ve ever used and I love it. I plan on wearing it for the rest of the summer. I use it with NARS’ Radiant Creamy Concealer (to cover my under eye circles and blemishes) and MAC’s Studio Fix Powder (to set everything).
Urban Decay Naked2 Basics (x)
I’ve been obsessed with my Kat Von D Shade + Light Eye Contour Palette for months, and Naked2 Basics is my new obsession. I love matte eyeshadow looks.
Urban Decay Eyeshadow Primer Potion (x)
I’ve been using UD’s Primer Potion for years, but I recently picked up a new tube and discovered the new packaging, which I guess is old now. I’m a huge fan of the new wands, because the squeeze tubes were pretty annoying and I always squeezed more than I needed.
Mopidick-s Lotion (x)
Rui convinced me to use this on all my mosquito bites, and I’m really glad he did. It instantly relieves the itchiness on most of my bites, and it feels amazing putting it on after showering.
Bioré UV Aqua Rich Watery Essence Sunscreen (x)
Rui recommended this sunscreen to me because it made his skin look matte and it didn’t feel like sunscreen. It doesn’t make my skin look matte, but it’s very silky and feels nice on my skin.
Urban Decay De-Slick Oil-Control Makeup Setting Spray (x)
I bought the travel size bottle to use in HK because I knew I’d get super oily. My T-zone still became shiny by the end of everyday, but that might just be because Hong Kong is especially hot and humid. Maybe it’ll work in Toronto weather. Sorry for the dirty-looking bottle.
