Nuit Blanche is one of my favourite annual events in Toronto, and I was pretty eager to see what they had to offer this year. It was also Adam’s first time at Nuit Blanche, so I was excited to show him around. Since Scotiabank stopped sponsoring Nuit Blanche, the event was pretty small-scale, but there were still a few cool exhibits. I went around 7 PM and stayed out for about two hours, and noticed that the streets weren’t as busy as they normally are – it could have also been that I was out too early.

Here are 7 of my favourite exhibits from this year’s Nuit Blanche.
Jack Layton Ferry Terminal
Planetarium / Terminal by Myriam Yates
Fallen Water – Niagara Escarpment by Kevin Cooley
BEAUTY VS. THE WORLD by Robert Montgomery
Nathan Phillips Square
Pneuma by Floria Sigismondi (animated view here)
Death of the Sun by Director X
Literature vs. Traffic by Luzinterruptus
Coldstream Fine Art
Wall With Kaleidoscope Eyes by Harrison Taylor
Those were seven of my favourite exhibits from this year’s Nuit Blanche. Honestly, I was pretty disappointed with this year’s event – the last few years have been so much more fun with so much more art. Nevertheless, I still had a great time – hopefully next year is even better!
