One of my favourite things about living in Toronto is that there’s always something fun happening in the city. Next to the summer months, the holiday season is one of my favourite times to go out to events around the city. Everything is just so festive and jolly, and I absolutely love it! Today I’m sharing you a few of my favourite festive Toronto spots to visit during the holiday season.
2015’s holiday market at Union Station was outdoors, which I actually thought was cuter. However, I did like the set up they had going on inside the station this year! I got myself a cute little succulent I named Spike and a caramel chocolate on a stick. Lately, I’ve really been liking the idea of shopping at local and small businesses.
Adam and I had these amazing Kung Pao fries from Heirloom that were super delicious! We wanted to try the mini donuts as well, but the booth was closed when we were there. I thought I’d also include the eggnog cookies I baked that night, which were actually really good.
Adam and I went to the Toronto Christmas Market last year as well, and we really enjoyed it. We were pretty disappointed that the ferris wheel wasn’t running the night we went, and I was pretty disappointed that I couldn’t find turkey legs anywhere. Nevertheless, we still had a lot of fun there! I really loved the pink forest they had this year.
I’d been craving apple cider for awhile and I finally got to try it hot, but I actually didn’t end up liking it that much. We also got mini donuts with cookies and creme, which was literally just crushed Oreos and whipped cream on top of donuts. It was definitely not worth the $7, but it was still really good. The Toronto Christmas Market is definitely a staple on my holiday to-do list, so you should definitely check it out!
