I’m not one to wear jewelry, but for chokers, I can make an exception. They go well with almost everything, and they can make a simple outfit look so much more put together. I could never find any chokers I liked, but I recently picked up a few cute ones!
I feel like they’re a little more risqué and I don’t really go anywhere besides my internship or school, so I haven’t really had a chance to wear them much. I can’t wait until summer though, because there’ll be plenty of places to go where chokers will be acceptable, haha.
First off is this black velvet choker Happiness Boutique sent me. I’ve been looking for the perfect simple black choker for so long, and I’m so happy I finally found it!
Next is this pink velvet choker from Happiness Boutique, and it actually comes in a two-piece set with the black one. Happiness Boutique offers free shipping, and you can use my code “DIARYOFATORONTOGIRL” to get 10% off your order. Pink chokers are a little more difficult to style, but I love pairing them with light-coloured tops.
Lastly is this vegan leather wrap choker from Urban Outfitters, which totally could have been DIYed, but that’s okay. I really like how you can tie it in different ways to create different looks, but I wish there was a clasp on the back so you didn’t have to wrap it around your neck every single time. If you’re feeling crafty and don’t feel like paying $30 for a piece of string, check out Vicki from Florals + Teacups’ tutorial on shoelace chokers!
