Valentine’s Day is actually one of my favourite days of the year. I love the whole idea of celebrating the person/people you love, and I love how everything turns pink and red and covered in hearts. It’s all just so darn cute.
I love being a lifestyle blogger and being able to write about anything and everything that pops into my head, but I also want to start doing more fashion-related posts. I’ve always loved fashion and I dress up pretty much all the time (even if I’m just going to an hour lecture lol), so I think it’ll be fun documenting outfits here and there. I hope you guys will enjoy these posts as well!
Today I thought I’d share with you two outfit ideas for Valentine’s Day. They’re pretty versatile and are suitable for either a romantic Valentine’s date or a fun Galentine’s night.

Look One: Day Date
You might be thinking, “wow, that’s a whole lot of white”, or that might just be my comfort zone talking. I think the look of white on white looks very sweet and feminine, and that’s pretty much the vibe I was trying to give off with this look.
I paired it with red lipstick and slingback heels to make it more dressy (and so I wouldn’t look like a virgin being sacrificed in a horror film). I love these Vince Camuto shoes (similar here) to death, but I’ve only actually worn them out once because they’re so darn painful to walk in.
I’m not sure if you’d classify this skirt as a midi or maxi, but I’m going to call it a maxi because most of my midi skirts are shorter than this. I’ve never really been into maxi skirts, but I love that this one is fitted.
That awkward moment when you forget to change your shoes before shooting your outfit. At least I remembered for the rest of the photos, haha. Also, I totally didn’t think my bodysuit line was visible and I didn’t think of wearing a slip underneath… I can be a bit of a mess sometimes!
Look Two: Date Night
I absolutely fell in love with Nastygal’s Helix dress when it first came out, and I ended up getting it in three different colours. Unfortunately it isn’t available on the site anymore, but there are plenty of similar dresses online (like this one). I love the deep sweetheart neckline, but it’s a little too risqué for me, so I paired it with a fabric blazer from Aritzia (similar here) to make it more conservative.
I hope you have a wonderful Valentine’s Day, whoever you spend it with (even if it’s just you binge-watching rom-coms on Netflix)! I’ll have a post on places to go in Toronto for Valentine’s Day this Friday, so be sure to check back for that, or follow me on Bloglovin to keep up with all of my posts.
