I can’t think of any other media event or tasting I’ve been to where I’ve had my name placed anywhere but on a sticker or an envelope. MRCK Marketing hosted an absolutely wonderful tasting event at Ten Ren’s Tea a few weeks ago, and they put our names both on mini chalkboards and on the tasting menus! It made us feel really special, and it really deserved a mention.
Toronto natives will probably know of Ten Ren’s – it’s been around forever, way before places like Chatime and Sharetea came along. I remember drinking Ten Ren’s bubble tea all the time in high school, and it was a real #TBT moment going back to the location where one of my best friends used to work.
Ten Ren’s is introducing a few new tea-infused items to their menu, and they’re perfect for anyone who loves oolong or earl grey flavours.
Pictured below (and in the feature image) is the oolong crepe cake topped with an earl-grey filled green tea macaron, along with an earl grey cream puff and an oolong cream puff. Everything was super yummy, but I personally preferred the earl grey cream puff over the oolong one!
We tried cold oolong tea both with and without milk, and I thought both were delicious. Adam liked the oolong milk tea more!
I’m a huge sweet tooth, so I honestly loved everything. I highly recommend giving the earl grey cream puffs a try if you plan on trying anything off their new menu! For more information, you can check out Ten Ren’s website.
