Wow. It feels so weird to say that I’m graduating university. It seriously doesn’t feel like four years have gone by. I’ll probably write a separate post all about my mushy, gushy thoughts and feelings about graduating, but for now, this is a post about what to wear to graduation.
My convocation ceremony is next week, and I thought I’d share some inspo for graduation dresses! I picked ones I thought would look cute under graduation gowns. My grad gown is going to be royal blue and we don’t get caps to wear… So I’m still trying to figure out what I’m going to wear myself!

My university program hosted its annual award show back in April, and I wore this adorable off shoulder dress from Boohoo. It’s super flattering and I love it so much that I have it in baby blue as well! I might even end up wearing that dress to my convocation.
I was inspired to pair the dress with a rhinestone choker after seeing Cheryl Blossom wear one in Riverdale (her style is my fave). I also wore my glittery Michael Kors pumps and a silver clutch (I got it back in high school and I don’t remember where it’s from).
For those of you also graduating, congratulations! I hope you find some inspiration from this post on what to wear to your own convocation ceremony. 🙂
Just for fun, here are some photos of what I wore to my grade 8 and grade 12 graduation ceremonies. Fun facts: a girl at my grade 8 grad wore a very similar dress in a very similar colour, and a girl at my grade 12 grad wore the exact same dress as me. Pro-tip: don’t shop at Le Chateau or Guess for graduation dresses.
