It’s Canada’s 150th birthday tomorrow! In honour of Canada’s 150th birthday this year, I’ve been doing a little series here on Diary of a Toronto Girl in celebration of all things Canadian, and it’s been a lot of fun. For my last post of the series, I decided to do a little outfit post!
I typically wear red, white, or denim (Canadian tuxedo, anyone?) on Canada Day, and I of course included all of them in this look. I had my hair styled at Chatters Salon’s Style Happy Tour van earlier in the day, which is why my hair is curled. They’re traveling across Canada this summer and styling hair for free!
I bought this off-the-shoulder crop top from American Apparel (similar here) a long time ago, but at the time I felt it was a little too skimpy to wear anywhere. Since off-the-shoulder tops have been all the rage this year, I’ve been wearing it plenty! I paired it with this denim romper from Aritzia (it’s on sale right now!) with my trusty white Chuck Taylors I received from Converse. You can never go wrong with a classic pair of Chucks! I thought I’d make my outfit a little more 🇨🇦Canadian🇨🇦 with my fave Toronto Blue Jays hat.

There’s going to be fireworks off the CN Tower for Canada Day this year, and I’m super excited to watch them. The last time they had fireworks off the CN Tower was the 2015 Pan Am Games! I hope you all enjoy your long weekend, whether you’re celebrating Canada Day or the 4th of July!
