17 Lavender Fields in Ontario to Visit This Summer

Dreaming of all the beautiful lavender fields in Ontario to visit this summer?

Lavender plants tend to bloom between late June through late July, and you can see them at different points of their blooming periods at all these local lavender farms in Ontario.

Here are some awesome lavender fields you can visit in Ontario, all located across the province!

P.S. If you’re afraid of bees, I wouldn’t recommend you going too close to the plants, because they will literally be everywhere, and you will be terrified.

Lavender fields in Ontario


Serenity Lavender Farm

Take a moment for relaxation and serenity at Serenity Lavender Farm, with over 40 different varieties of lavender.

Serenity Lavender is pretty much at the most southwestern point of Ontario, and it’s about a 4 hour drive from Toronto on the 401.

They’re actually located in Ontario’s oldest agricultural and wine region, and on-site is a vineyard and winery called North 42 Degrees Estate Winery!

They host an annual Lavender Festival, where you can peep out works from local artists, listen to live music, do crafts with the kids, and of course enjoy all things lavender and wine!

You can also shop lavender bath and body products, culinary ingredients, and even home decor in-store or on Serenity’s website.

Try their lavender pepper to add a little something different for your cooking, or grab the lavender beard oil for the bearded person in your life.

LOCATION: 130 Essex County Rd 50, Harrow, ON


Steed & Company Lavender Farm

Steed & Company is the premier grower of lavender in Elgin County (south of London), and their 45-acre property is home to both a lavender farm and a horse farm.

They’ve got over 10,000 lavender plants, and they’re actually the oldest lavender farm in Southwestern Ontario!

You can shop their lavender products in their boutique in-store or on their website, and it’s all handmade with local, natural, and some organic ingredients.

Try their lavender honey dijon dressing for your salads, or grab some organic lavender dog shampoo for your pupper!

If you’ve got a sweet tooth, you can also pick up pints of their organic lavender ice cream in-store.

Terre Bleu Lavender Farm in Milton, Ontario

Terre Bleu Lavender Farm

Terre Bleu is the largest lavender farm in Ontario with over 50,000 lavender plants, and they’re located in the Milton area.

Their lavender is all-natural, farm-grown, sustainably-produced, and organic, and you can enjoy it in all kinds of products in their shop, including food!

Everything in-store is made with lavender or lavender-themed, including bath and body products and infused food products.

Terre Bleu Lavender Farm in Milton, Ontario

From lavender macarons, to lavender vinaigrette, to lavender gouda cheese, you can get all kinds of interesting culinary products in their shop.

Their lavender ice cream is also a dream, and you can buy pints of it in-store!

Every corner of Terre Bleu is super Instagram-worthy, and they’ve even got a bright yellow door in the middle of the fields for your photo-taking pleasure.

Definitely hit up Terre Bleu this summer if you’re looking for an Instagrammable lavender farm to visit!

Fees: $20 per person

LOCATION: 2501, Sideroad 25, Campbellville, ON


Kelso Lavender Farm

Kelso is another family-run lavender farm in the Milton area, about a 20 minute drive from Terre Bleu.

It’s home to over 15,000 lavender plants, and they use organic farming methods without any herbicides or pesticides.

There’s a neat purple Muskoka chair in the middle of the fields, perfect for getting that aesthetic Instagram shot.

You can shop both fresh and dried lavender plants on their website, if you’re not able to visit in-person!

They also have lavender pillows, which are great for helping you get a better sleep.

Fees: $10 per adult on weekends and $8 per adult on weekdays, $5 per child 12 and under, children 5 and under free

LOCATION: 8649 Appleby Line, Campbellville, ON


Apple Hill Lavender

Apple Hill Lavender is located in Norfolk County, which is southwest of Hamilton.

The farm has been in the family since the early 1900s, and they’ve got lavender fields and an apple orchard on their 45-acre property.

While you’re there, you can have a taste of lavender vanilla bean goat’s milk ice cream from local company Udderly Ridiculous, which features Apple Hill’s lavender!

You can shop their pesticide-free lavender products in-store or on their website.

Try their lavender-infused chocolates or even their lavender spice blends!

They also have fresh apples available for sale during the fall.

LOCATION: 1795 Windham Rd 11, Windham Centre, ON


Bonnieheath Estate Lavender & Winery

Also located in Norfolk County is Bonnieheath Estate, known for their award-winning wines and ciders.

They produce their own grapes in a 10-acre vineyard on their 129-acre farm, and they’ve also got lavender fields on the farm.

The farm actually dates back to the 1800s, and the farmhouse found on the property was built in the 1900s!

Their lavender field blooms from mid-June to mid-July, and you can do a winery and lavender farm tour if you’re feeling some sips and blooms.

LOCATION: 410 Concession 12 Townsend, Waterford, ON


Purple Haven Lavender & Herb Farm

Purple Haven is a family-owned and operated lavender farm in the farming community of Canfield, which is just south of Hamilton and west of Niagara Falls.

Stroll through 20 acres of trails on the farm, including a scenic walk around a 2-acre pond.

They make all their lavender products by hand in small batches.

Since they are a smaller farm, they also source additional lavender from other local farms to make their products.

LOCATION: 6834 ON-3, Canfield, ON


NEOB Lavender Boutique

You can find NEOB in the Niagara-on-the-Lake area, and it’s a perfect stop in the middle of your day of wine tasting.

They’ve got an adorable purple ice cream cart and purple frame for all your aesthetic Instagram photo needs.

Try their lavender bath bomb or lavender pillow spray, which you can shop in-store or on their website!

Fees: $10 per person

LOCATION: 758 Niagara Stone Rd, Niagara-on-the-Lake, ON


Essentially Lavender

Essentially Lavender is located in Bruce County, on a farm that dates back to the 1800s.

You can take a stroll through the lavender gardens, then take a peep into their boutique to shop their lavender products.

Their gardens are lovely, and they’ve got more than just lavender plants!

Fees: $5 per person for self-guided tours, $8 per person for guided tours

LOCATION: 1379 Concession 10, South Bruce, ON


South Bay Fields Lavender Farm

South Bay Fields is a lavender farm located in the Collingwood area.

They’re a family-owned and operated farm with over 4,500 lavender plants, as well as over 10,000 sunflowers!

You can grab beautiful shots with both the sunflowers and lavenders when they’re in bloom.

They also farm and produce all of their own all-natural lavender products on their 18-acre farm.

Fees: Free entrance

LOCATION: Nottawasaga SR, 7527 36/37, Collingwood, ON


Purple Hill Lavender Farm

Purple Hill is a family-run lavender farm located in Creemore, Ontario, and it’s just 20 minutes away from South Bay Fields.

The farmhouse makes for a dreamy backdrop with all the lavender plants, and they’ve also got cute purple Muskoka chairs in the fields.

You can shop all kinds of lavender products in their shop either in-store or on their website.

Their lavender-infused teddy bear is adorable!

Stonewell Farm

Stonewell Farm is a 93-acre lavender farm located just west of Brampton.

The farmhouse was built in the late 1800s, and they’ve since modernized the interior with some renovations.

You can actually stay inside the country guest house and enjoy the scent of the lavender fields first thing in the morning!

They also handcraft small-batch products using lavender grown on the farm along with natural ingredients.

You can shop their lavender products in-store or on their website!

The Giving Place

The Giving Place is a small family farm in Mount Albert, Ontario.

They have over 2,000 lavender plants, as well as sunflowers, all grown pesticide-free.

You can stop by during their lavender picking days and put together your own lavender bouquets – just bring your own pair of scissors!

LOCATION: 19618 E Townline, Mount Albert, ON


Christel Lake Lavender Farm

Christel Lake is located in the Uxbridge and Port Perry area, northeast of Toronto.

You can peep out 19 different varieties of lavender plants and a scenic walking trail along a spring-fed lake, all on their 57-acre farm.

There’s even a park for kids to enjoy, and your dog friends are welcome to visit the farm as well!

The luscious trees behind the lavender fields make for some extra pretty shots for the ‘Gram.

You can also shop lavender products in their gift shop on-site.

Visits are limited to two hours with four people per vehicle, and you have to schedule a visit ahead of time on their website.

LOCATION: 1381 Scugog Line 12, Greenbank, ON


Laveanne

Walk through 4 acres of lavender fields at Laveanne, located near Cobourg.

One of the coolest things about Laveanne is their lavender meditation labyrinth, which is just as relaxing as it is aesthetically-pleasing.

They use all-natural, chemical-free, and cruelty-free ingredients to handcraft their products, which you can shop in-store.

Fees: $8.88 per adult, children under 12 free

LOCATION: 8667 Gilmour Rd, Campbellcroft, ON


Prince Edward County Lavender

Prince Edward County Lavender is just two hours from Toronto.

They have plenty of varieties of lavender on the farm, and since the plants take 3 years to mature, they’ll look different every time you visit!

They also have a boutique on-site you can shop at, or you can shop online on their website.

You can shop lavender products like goat’s milk lavender soap, lavender chocolate, and lavender hand sanitizer!

You can also stay overnight in one of their 3 rooms at their bed and breakfast, inside a home built in the 1800s!

Millefleurs

Millefleurs is another family-run lavender farm in Prince Edward County, and they’ve got 6 varieties of over 5,000 lavender plants.

They’ve got a picturesque white bench right in front of the fields!

They grow organic lavender and raise honeybees, and you can purchase their lavender and honey products in-store or on their website.

They even make their own mead, which is basically wine made with honey!

If you’re up to get your hands a little dirty, you can do one of their workshops and try lavender gardening, lavender distillation, or even just yoga in the fields.

They also do popups inside farmer’s markets, including inside Evergreen Brickworks in Toronto!

They’re also committed to sustainability and helping the environment, which is an initiative I really admire – they plant trees and bushes to offset the farm’s carbon footprint.

Fees: $5 per person, children free

Those were a couple of lavender fields you can visit in Ontario, all within a day’s drive of Toronto!

Fun fact: lavender was actually a wildflower in the Mediterranean, and now it’s grown in many countries around the world, including here in Ontario.

Not only are these purple blooms pretty to look at – the have tons of benefits, especially when it comes to soothing anxiety and helping you sleep!

There are many different varieties of lavender, which are all great for different reasons: some are better for essential oils, while some are better for things like culinary creations.

Also a side note: there’ll likely be dozens of bees buzzing around you at all times when you’re in the lavender fields.

If you’re allergic, bring medication, and if you’re terrified of bees, try not to freak out.
