Wondering how to style bike shorts in an actually cute outfit?
I recently picked up a cute new outfit (ft. bike shorts) from the Nordstrom Anniversary Sale, which is literally one of the best sales of the entire year.
It’s an annual summer event where you can shop tons of awesome deals on everything from clothing to beauty products!
The Nordstrom Anniversary Sale is happening from now through July 31st, and you can shop all kinds of cute pieces.

How to style bike shorts
These Live In High Waist Pocket Bike Shorts from Zella are probably the best bike shorts I’ve ever owned in my closet.
They material is quite thick and sturdy, and I love that there’s pockets on either side of the shorts.
Here’s how to style my new fave bike shorts!
Throw on a crop top
I love crop tops with high waisted pants, and they definitely look good with high waisted bike shorts.
I’m wearing the Delight Seamless Knit Bra from Alo in Galactic Teal, and it also comes in Cherry Cola and Golden Orange.
It’s a super comfy sports bra top, and I love that it’s lined and offers a good amount of support.
Since it looks more like a casual crop top than a sports bra, you can wear it literally anywhere!
I’d definitely size up in this top – I’m wearing a size small and it’s a perfect fit.
Wear something oversized
The knit bra top and bike shorts definitely look cute on their own, but I wanted to elevate the look into more of a casual outfit rather than a gym outfit.
An oversized shirt jacket is so easy to throw on over any outfit, and I love this chic and comfy Thread & Supply Cotton Corduroy Shirt Jacket.
It’s also nice to wear something a bit baggier over a more tight-fitting outfit to balance out the look!
I love the Chocolate Brown colour, but there’s also an adorable Lavender colour.
This Plaid Shirt Jacket from BP. is also super cute, and both shirt jackets are perfect for transitioning summer outfits into fall!
Wear cool sneakers
I’m a big sneaker gal, and I think biker shorts look the best with sneakers in an outfit.
I’ve seen some people wearing heels or booties with bike shorts, but I definitely prefer to keep it more athleisure.
I’m wearing the Chuck Taylor All Star Lift Platform Sneakers, which are sold out online, but I managed to find them in-store at Yorkdale Mall!
This ECCO Soft II Sneaker is similar but without the platform, and I was also really considering this Retro Sneaker from Rag & Bone.
How to style bike shorts:
- Throw on a crop top
- Wear something oversized
- Wear cool sneakers
