Y’all already know I’m a jeans and tee kinda gal, and Levi’s has some of my absolute fave denim.
A lot of their fits are super flattering on everyone, and the quality of their jeans is fantastic.
I’ve tried all kinds of denim brands over the years: from affordable brands like American Eagle and Hollister, to other mid-range brands like Guess, to higher-end brands like Citizens of Humanity and J Brand.
Nothing beats the fits, pricing, and quality of Levi’s jeans in my opinion!
Today I’ll be sharing some of the best Levi’s jeans for women, including where you can shop each of the denim styles.

Levi’s 501 jeans
The 501s were the first ever Levi’s jean (back in 1873!), and they’re of course the most iconic fit.
There are two different fits of the 501s: the Original and the Skinny, which to me seem like a looser version of the wedgie jeans.
Basic features of the Levi’s 501 jeans
- Relaxed through the hip and thigh
- High rise with 11.125″ front rise
- Straight leg has 14.25″ leg opening
- Straight leg has 30″ inseam, cropped leg has 26″ inseam
- Materials: may include cotton, elastane, or polyester, heavyweight denim with either low or no stretch
- Button fly
Levi’s 501 jeans sizing
The sizing of the 501s are definitely true to size – I got the size 27s in fear that there would be no stretch to them, but they’re quite big on me.
My normal size, 26, would’ve been perfect, and since I’m petite, the crop would’ve been better vs. the skinny.
The 501s are typically low or no stretch, but since the fit is a bit looser than the wedgies, I’d recommend going with your actual size.
I’d always recommend trying on Levi’s jeans if you can because the sizing can vary!

I love pairing the 501s with a more fitted top since the jeans are a little bit wider.

Levi’s 721 high rise skinny jeans
Although gen Z hates skinny jeans, us millennials still love them.
The 721 skinny jeans are my fave skinnies because of the high waist and flattering slim fit.

The 721 jeans definitely fit true to size, and there’s some stretch to them which is nice.
I normally wear a size 26 in other Levi’s jeans, and the 26 fits me perfectly!

If there’s any one pair of Levi’s denim I’d recommend anyone to have in their closet, it would totally be the wedgie jeans.
The wedgies are inspired by vintage 70’s Levi’s denim, and they’re specifically made to flatter your booty – so if you love a cheekier jean, this is it.
They’re super flattering on everyone, and they’re just the perfect everyday jean to wear because they literally go with everything in your closet!
There are two different fits of the wedgie jeans: the Wedgie Icon and Wedgie Straight.
The Wedgie Icon features a tapered leg, while the Wedgie Straight features a straight leg.
Both have a tighter fit around the waist and thighs, which I find super flattering!

I’m normally a size 26 in Levi’s denim, and I had to size up to a 27 for the Levi’s wedgie jeans.
There’s not much stretch to the pair I got, but some of them do have a little bit of stretch, so do take a look at the details online or try them on first!

Ribcage jeans are the highest rises of Levi’s denim, and they’ve got a slim fit on the hips and thighs with a straight leg.
Since they have a super high waist and cropped length, they’re flattering on petite women as well!

- Ultra high rise with 12″ front rise
- Straight leg has 17″ leg opening, bootcut leg has 19.5″ leg opening
- Materials: 99% cotton and 1% elastane, heavyweight denim with light stretch

I’m normally a size 26 in bottoms, and the size 26 Levi’s ribcage jeans fit me perfectly.
There’s a little bit of stretch to the denim, so you don’t have to be too worried if your weight fluctuates a bit (or if you stuff yourself with a few too many tacos).
