The Apartment Life

The Apartment Life is definitely on the more expensive end, and you’ll find beautiful and highly-curated vintage furniture pieces.

They have the dreamiest and most beautiful vintage pieces that you’ll especially love if you’re a fan of pink, and if you’re into ~Instagrammable~ furniture.

Vintage pink lamps, vintage pink dressers, vintage pink sectionals – it’s literally a pink lover’s dream.

They of course have many other pieces that aren’t pink, but pink is the main vibe here.

You can visit their adorable pink storefront in Toronto’s east end, or shop their selection online.

LOCATION: 238 Queen St W, Toronto, ON

Vintage furniture from GUFF in Toronto

GUFF

This vintage furniture shop also located in the east end specializes in mid-century Scandinavian design, and they get new stuff on the daily.

You’ll find a lot of vintage wood pieces at GUFF, including everything from coffee tables to dining chairs.

I love that they’ve got a whole variety of different styles, and they’ve got furniture pieces for all budgets!

They offer delivery through a third-party partner starting at $80, or you can pick up from their store on Queen East.

They also buy vintage furniture if you have any cool pieces you’re looking to sell!

LOCATION: 1 Davies Ave, Toronto, ON

Bernardi’s Antiques

If you’re into the antique Victorian-era look, you’ll definitely adore the selection at Bernardi’s Antiques.

They’ve been in the Mount Pleasant neighbourhood since the 70’s, and they specialize in English and French furniture and home goods.

They have a huge 2,500 square foot shop filled with antiques, collectibles, and art, and you can shop everything from sterling silver flatware sets, vintage European porcelain, to Victorian-era furniture pieces.

Since their stuff is all antiques, they do have a higher price tag, but it’s the perfect spot if you’re looking for this sort of furniture and home decor.

They also ship worldwide, and they offer free local delivery on furniture and bulky items.

LOCATION: 699 Mt Pleasant Rd, Toronto, ON

Wazo Furniture in Toronto

Wazo Furniture

This Canadian furniture brand specializes in solid wood furniture, and they’ve actually got one of the largest collections of live edge tables in North America.

They’ve got tons of beautiful solid wood tables, benches, and bed frames, as well as stylish chairs, sofas, and more!

It’s nice that they’ve also got beautiful pieces for a variety of budgets, and most pieces aren’t extremely expensive.

Their store is in North York near Weston & 401, but you can shop their entire selection online as well.

LOCATION: 140 Wendell Ave, North York, ON

Structube Richmond Hill

Structube

This Canadian chain based out of Montreal offers affordable and modern furniture.

Their modern style is very similar to what you’d find at IKEA, except it’s a little more trendy and less minimal!

They also have some stylish pieces like this pretty gold mirror that’s a dupe for the more expensive Anthropologie mirror.

They’ve got tons of locations across the GTA, with downtown locations at Yonge & Eglinton, in Little Italy, and on King West.

Pro-tip I learned from an interior designer acquaintance: place your order directly at a physical location instead of ordering online, because the physical locations supposedly deal with a different customer service department!

Bouclair

Bouclair is another awesome Canadian chain that offers affordable and stylish furniture pieces.

You’ll find a lot more home decor stuff at Bouclair, but they do have tons of furniture pieces.

I adore this cane cabinet and this wood side table, which are both priced very reasonably.

Their stores are scattered across the GTA, with their closest locations to downtown Toronto being in Richmond Hill, Brampton, and Mississauga.

They also offer 20% off your first regular-price online purchase if you sign up for their email list, which is pretty awesome!

Article

Article is all about sleek and modern furniture, and they actually work directly with manufacturers to produce their pieces using high-quality materials.

They have a variety of furniture pieces for a wide range of budgets!

They’re based out of Vancouver and they’re actually an online-only store, but they do ship across Canada (and to Toronto).

EQ3

EQ3 is all about timeless pieces that are made to last, and I love that a lot of their stuff is made-to-order.

They’ve got so many beautiful seating options (like this chic Chiara Lounge Chair), as well as gorgeous bed frames (like this cozy Oma Bed)!

You can shop at their stores in-person in Liberty Village or on King East, or you can shop their pieces online.

Fun fact: they’re based out of Winnipeg, which I find interesting because the only other large company I know based out of there is SkipTheDishes!

Sundays

This Vancouver-based furniture retailer offers up all kinds of beautiful and minimal pieces.

Their stuff is definitely on the pricier end of things, and I especially love their sofas, bed frames, and dressers.

They have a flagship store in Toronto located on Ossington Avenue, and you can also shop everything online!

LOCATION: 113 Ossington Ave, Toronto, ON

IKEA North York

IKEA

Of course, we can’t forget about IKEA, everyone’s favourite Swedish furniture chain.

IKEA has very modern and functional furniture pieces at probably the most affordable prices you’ll find anywhere.

Pretty much all of the furniture I’ve ever owned has been from IKEA, and I still own almost everything I’ve ever bought from them.

You’ve also gotta check out the food aisle and stop into the food court while you’re here!

Pro-tip: sign up for the IKEA Family Card so you can get a free coffee every time you grab food at the IKEA food court.

There’s an IKEA at Yonge & College, in Etobicoke, or in North York.
