Is the Ipsy Glam Bag Worth It?

Wondering if the Ipsy Glam Bag is worth subscribing to for Canadians?

If you subscribe to any subscription boxes, you’ll know how exciting and fun they are.

It’s like receiving surprise gifts every so often!

I spent a lot of time researching ones I wanted to subscribe to, and Ipsy is so far the only one I’ve actually continued with.

I’d love to try the Pusheen subscription box, but it’s about $100 with shipping costs and I personally don’t think the products I’ve seen in the box are worth the price.

Anyway, here’s my review of the Ipsy Glam Bag!

Ipsy Glam Bag review

What is the Ipsy Glam Bag?

You might’ve already heard of the Ipsy Glam Bag.

It’s a subscription service by Michelle Phan where you receive a mixture of sample-sized and full-sized beauty products once a month.

I received my first ever Ipsy Glam Bag last month and I really liked it!

I love the idea of sampling different products I never would’ve tried otherwise.

As a Canadian, it’s roughly $20 including tax and shipping for me, so I definitely think it’s worth it.

How much is Ipsy in Canada?

The Ipsy Glam Bag costs around $20 including tax and shipping for Canadians, which is a little pricier than our American friends.

Is Ipsy worth it?

Since you get a mixture of both sample and full-sized products, it is worth subscribing to Ipsy if you’re a beauty lover.

$20 barely even gets you a full-sized product at Sephora!

My Ipsy Glam Bag review

Since this isn’t my first bag, I guess it isn’t really a first impressions post, but let’s just call it that anyways.

In my glam bag this month, I received:

Tarte Lip Paint

The Tarte lip paint doesn’t look that impressive in the tube, but when you apply it on it looks stunning.

It’s a gorgeous rosy mauve shade and it’s super long-lasting.

It also feels a bit drying, so I always make sure to moisturize my lips beforehand.

I’m obsessed with this colour and I’m definitely going to get the full size once I run out!

mPrincess Pressed Eyeshadow

The mPrincess pressed eyeshadow is very creamy and it’s pretty sheer at first application, but it’s definitely buildable.

The colour is pretty much exactly what you see in the container.

Vasanti Cosmetics Eyeshadow Brush

The Vasanti Cosmetics eyeshadow brush is very fluffy and it does a pretty good job of blending.

I don’t really need anymore brushes as I already have my core ones, so I hope I don’t get one in next month’s bag.

Dr. Brandt’s Microdermabrasion

I wasn’t too excited with Dr. Brandt’s Microdermabrasion as I’d already received it as a sample from Sephora and I wasn’t a fan of it.

It’s supposed to buff away dead skin cells, enhance the radiance of your skin, and minimize the look of lines, spots, and uneven texture, but it didn’t really do anything for me.

Mane Magic Primer

It is insane how well the Mane Magic Primer detangles your hair.

To make sure I wasn’t just imagining things, I tested out combing my hair before and after spraying the primer, and it really did work!

For everything you get, even if most of it is sample-sized, $20 is definitely worth it.

I think it’s only $10 for my American friends, but I’m not sure about additional shipping costs.

I’d recommend trying the glam bag at least once and seeing how you like it – this is only my second bag and I’m hooked already!
