If you’re a brunch lover, you’ll be ecstatic to know that Calgary has plenty of incredible brunch restaurants.

Calgary is one of my favourite cities to visit in Canada, especially because of the amazing food scene!

The city is very diverse, so you’ll find tons of authentic restaurants offering up all kinds of cuisines, as well as plenty of fusion restaurants.

Whether you’re looking for a classic eggs benedict or an elevated breakfast poutine, you’ll definitely love visiting these breakfast and brunch spots in Calgary.

Here are some of the best brunch restaurants you absolutely need to visit in Calgary, Alberta!

Hotels in Calgary

If you’re looking for somewhere to stay during your trip to Calgary, here are some of the best hotels to stay at:

  • The Alt Hotel is an eco-friendly 3 star hotel located right in the middle of downtown Calgary, in the East Village neighbourhood. It’s a quick walk over to the Bow River, where you can do all kinds of fun activities during the warmer months.
  • Hotel Arts is a beautiful and modern 4 star hotel in Calgary’s trendy Beltline neighbourhood, and there’s an indoor pool, outdoor pool, and fitness centre.
  • The Fairmont Palliser is a 4 star hotel located right in the heart of downtown Calgary, right beside the Calgary Tower. The rooms are a little more traditional, but the indoor pool is absolutely incredible.

ZCREW Cafe

ZCREW Cafe is a cute lil’ spot serving up some of the best brunch in Calgary.

All of their products are handcrafted with fresh ingredients from local suppliers, and they’ve got tons of fusion items on the menu!

If you like sweet ‘n’ spicy flavours, go for the Korean Fried Chicken Benny or Korean Fried Chicken and Waffles – both are amazing.

They’ve got a pretty large coffee and tea menu as well, and with options like their Nutella Latte or Beetroot Latte.

You can find them in the Victoria Park neighbourhood of Calgary, surrounded by tons of historical buildings!

Brunch at Queens Breakfast & Cocktails in Calgary, Alberta

Queens Breakfast & Cocktails

Queens is a beautiful and romantic brunch spot that’s especially perfect for dates.

I’m not much of a cocktails-with-breakfast kinda gal, but their coffee is fantastic, and even comes with adorable little cups of soft serve.

The Queens Breakfast is a must-order – it features eggs, bacon, chorizo, lemon ricotta pancakes, and potatoes.

The bacon and chorizo are out of this world, and the lemon ricotta pancakes are also amaze.

Be sure to ask for hot sauce as well – they brought out a locally-made one called Ouchie Mama from Crystal’s Can Co, and it was so dang good.

They’ve also got plenty of unique breakfast cocktails to enjoy with your meal, like their Wakey Wakey Eggs & Bakey with Buffalo bourbon, lemon, egg foam, maple syrup, and a slice of bacon!

Namo Cafe

This adorable family-owned and operated brunch spot serves up globally-inspired breakfast dishes made using local ingredients.

They’ve got a large menu filled with so many delicious brunch dishes, and you’ll literally want to try everything.

We loved the Lobster Rangoon Benny and Duck Confit Monte Cristo.

I was also really curious about the Harissa Lamb Brunch Bowl, which I’ll definitely try on my next visit!

Adam got the Cappuccino and I got the Hazelnut Latte.

They’ve got some unique tea and coffee drinks on their menu like their Honey Cardamom Latte and Strawberry Matcha Latte.

Their Hazelnut Latte is amaze and super unique – they told us they actually have some secret ingredients in there, including orange extract!

They’ve got 3 locations in Calgary you can visit in the Beltline neighbourhood, on Macleod Trail, or Edmonton Trail.

Komorebi Brunch

Komorebi offers up brunch with a Japanese twist, with dishes like their Chashu Benny, with marinated pork belly, and Hokkaido Zangi Chicken Burger, with Hokkaido-style fried chicken.

If you’re a matcha lover, try their Matcha Pancake topped with matcha ice cream and powder!

They also serve up authentic Japanese dishes for dinner.

Brekkie

It was actually Brekkie’s bubble tea pancakes that caught my eye on Instagram, and they’ve got plenty of unique dishes on the menu worth trying.

From the Carnitas Eggs Benedict to their Raspberry Ricotta Pancakes, they’ve got all kinds of fun and inventive takes on classic brunch staples.

They’ve also got a gorgeous and colourful space with plenty of patio seating out front!

Fried chicken & pancakes breakfast at Blue Star Diner in Calgary, Alberta

Blue Star Diner

Blue Star is a cool diner serving up elevated comfort foods, and they’re located in Bridgeland, Calgary’s ~hipster~ neighbourhood.

They source their ingredients locally, and they even have an entire page on their website listing every single one of their local suppliers.

Try their incredible Huevos Rancheros or their Fried Chicken & Pancakes!

The interior feels like an upscale diner, and they’ve got a super cute patio out front (that’s pet-friendly!)

Brouhaha

You’ll find all kinds of unique brunch dishes at Brouhaha, including bowls, polenta porridge, and eggs bennies.

From their Fried Crab Meat Scramble to their Bougie Avocado Toast, you’ll definitely find something that tickles your fancy.

They’ve also got an epic Brunch Tray for $57 that serves two, which includes two juices, two side fruits, two eggs bennies, chicken waffle bowls, sausages, smoked salmon, bacon, and your choice of pancakes or french toast.

They’ve got a bunch of fun drinks as well, including their Iced Butterscotch Latte and Iced Triple Banana Latte!

Turca Breakfast House

Enjoy authentic Turkish breakfast at this cozy and modern restaurant.

Turkish breakfast platters are the main offering here, and you’ll find a variety of options to choose from.

You have to try their simit – it’s a sort of Turkish-style bagel that’s crispy on the outside and soft and chewy on the inside!

Of course, you can also enjoy Turkish Coffee with your brunch – they even have a pistachio Turkish Coffee!

Morning Brunch Co.

This super cute brunch spot serves up classics like omelettes and brunch bowls.

Try the Spicy Chorizo Scramble if you’re into savoury dishes, or go for the Caramelized Banana French Toast if you prefer something sweet!

They’ve even got mini pancakes available if you’re in the mood for a lil’ treat with your brunch.

I also adore their interior, which is bright and airy with cute and colourful decor.

And the best part about this place? It’s relatively affordable, with everything on the menu under $17.50!

The Beltliner

The Beltliner is an aesthetically-pleasing modern diner, and they’re all about local and seasonal ingredients in their old school diner dishes.

Go with something classic like the Smoked Salmon + Avocado Benny or Chicken + Waffles, or try something different like their Shakshuka.

If you’re looking for something quick, they also have a small to-go coffee counter with breakfast sandwiches and house-made pastries.

Fun fact: it’s named after a streetcar that used to run down the same street they’re on!

Yellow Door Bistro

Yellow Door is a super cute bistro located inside Hotel Arts.

They’ve got some pretty unique breakfast and brunch dishes, like their Smoked Brisket Spanish Style Omelet and their Carrot Cake Stuffed French Toast.

They’ve got a $36 brunch buffet on weekends as well, where you can also enjoy Mimosas and Beermosas!

OEB Breakfast in Calgary, Alberta

OEB Breakfast Co.

If you’re looking to grab some fantastic brunch in the city, you’ll definitely want to pay a visit to OEB Breakfast Co.

OEB is a Calgary-based breakfast chain with locations in Canada and the U.S., and they’ve been around for over a decade.

They have a large menu with all kinds of unique spins on classic brunch dishes, and you’ll literally want to try everything.

Try their Canadian Lobster & Shrimp Crêpe, Confit de Canard Breakfast Poutine, or their Holy Crab Egg Benny!

They even have restaurants in Toronto now, and we love visiting.
