We recently visited Westchester County for the first time, and it was literally food heaven.
We got to try a lot of fantastic restaurants and food spots during our visit, and we wished we could’ve tried more!
The food scene in Westchester County is also very diverse, whether you’re in the mood for American fusion cuisine or authentic Mexican tacos.
Here are some of the best takeout spots in Westchester County, New York!

Best takeout spots in Westchester County, NY
Muddy Water Coffee & Cafe
This friendly café in Tarrytown serves up delicious sweet treats and savoury eats, including gluten-free and vegan options.
You’ll find a daily selection of freshly-made items on the menu, including soups, samosas, and empanadas.
I tried the black bean and mushroom empanada, and it was amaze!
I was in the mood for a unique summery drink when we visited, and they made me a cold brew lemonade, which I don’t think was on the menu!
You can find Muddy Water right in the heart of Tarrytown, and their café interior is super cute.
We saw a few people working away on their laptops while we were here!

Mason Sandwich Company
This little sandwich shop in Eastchester offers up an epic selection of sandwiches and comfort bites.
From their melt-in-your-mouth French Onion to their banh mi-inspired Flank Steak, they’ve got a variety of unique fusion sandwich options.
You’ll also find a selection of bowls and salads, as well as sides like their tossed wings, popcorn shrimp, and crispy buffalo cauliflower.
You can place your takeout order online ahead of time to make your life easier!
LOCATION: 33 Mill Rd, Eastchester, NY
Lefteris Gyro
Authentic and homemade Greek cuisine is what you’ll find at Lefteris Gyro.
You can enjoy everything from gyros to souvlakis, as well as traditional Greek platters.
They’ve got 4 locations in Westchester County, and their Tarrytown restaurant in housed in a cool historic building!

Grass Roots Kitchen
Stop into this vegan eatery for casual eats made using local and seasonal ingredients.
They’ve got a fantastic selection of internationally-inspired burgers and wraps, including their Falafel Burger, Korean BBQ Wrap, and Philly “Cheese Steak” Burrito.
They have gluten-free bread options as well for my gluten-intolerant friends!
Quench your thirst with one of their smoothies or juices, and be sure to grab one of their freshly-baked pastries for dessert.
LOCATION: 124 Wildey St, Tarrytown, NY
Pepe’s Place
Pepe’s serves up multiculturally-inspired soul food, from their Thai Chili Jumbo Shrimp, to their Challah French Toast with Fried Chicken, to their Moroccan Grilled Lamb.
Everything on the menu is also halal, which is great for my friends who eat halal!
Be sure to order their house-made cheesecake or house-made punch to enjoy with your meal.
You can also order ahead for pickup on their website!
LOCATION: 560 North Ave, New Rochelle, NY
Bibille
This hip Tarrytown spot serves up Korean fusion and build-your-own bibimbap and udon bowls.
How it works is that you pick your rice (or lettuce), protein, toppings, and sauces, and everything gets put into your perfect bibimbap.
You can choose between white, brown, or purple rice!
Their udon noodle soup is made using their own house-made broth, and you can pick your protein and toppings.
Be sure to pair your bowl with one of their bubble teas or real fruit smoothies!

The Taco Project
Satisfy your taco cravings at The Taco Project, with a variety of delicious fusion taco options.
Go for the BBQ Pulled Pork in their house-made BBQ sauce or try their mouth-watering Birria Tacos.
They also serve up an amazing brunch menu, with options like their Taco Project Waffles made with organic blue corn masa and their Carne Asada and Eggs.
They’ve got 4 locations in Westchester County, as well as a location in Connecticut.
