If you find yourself in the Leslieville neighbourhood and you’re looking for some good brunch, you’ll definitely want to check out one of these spots.

Leslieville is a chill neighbourhood in Toronto’s East End, and you’ll find it mainly filled with young families.

I don’t frequent this area, but I love coming to the neighbourhood for all the good food.

Here are some of the best brunch spots to hit up in Toronto’s Leslieville neighbourhood!

Breakfast sandwiches from Lazy Daisy's Café in Toronto

Lazy Daisy’s Café

Visit this rustic and homey café for their homemade, farm-fresh sandwiches and baked goods in Toronto.

This gem of a spot has a ton of breakfast options on the menu, including everything from pancakes and breakfast sandwiches.

Most of their breakfast sandwiches are made with their handmade buttermilk country biscuits and free-run eggs, and they’re all absolutely amaze.

Try the Rise N’ Fry breakfast sandwich with spicy fried chicken if ya like it spicy, or go for their Cinnamon Bun Pancakes if you’ve got a sweet tooth.

Lazy Daisy’s focuses on farm-fresh, locally-sourced, and seasonal ingredients, and they only source naturally-raised and drug and hormone-free meats.

They’ve also got vegan and gluten-free options for my friends with dietary restrictions!

Maha’s Egyptian Brunch

This beloved and wildly popular brunch spot in Leslieville offers up authentic and traditional Egyptian dishes.

Everything on the menu is made completely from scratch using fresh ingredients, made to taste exactly as you’d have them in Egypt!

From their Egyptian Falafel, to their Date Grilled Cheese, to their award-winning Lentil Soup, they’ve got a variety of incredibly delicious menu items.

You’ll also find some fantastic Middle Eastern drinks like their Honey Cardamom Latte, Turkish Delight (Turkish coffee with milk), and Tea with Mint.

They’ve also now got a café combined with Toronto sustainable clothing store, Kotn, where they serve up coffee and imported Egyptian teas.

Lady Marmalade

Pop into this all-day brunch spot in the East End for takeout on weekdays or dine-in on weekends.

They offer up globally-inspired dishes like their Huevos Rancheritos, Moroccan Scramble, and Braised Beef Benny.

Alongside espresso and tea, you can enjoy freshly-squeezed juices or pressed juices.

They actually moved from their previous Queen East spot to this location on Broadview a few years ago, and their new spot offers up all the woody minimalist vibes!

Okonomiyaki Grilled Cheese from SCENIC coffee + brunch in Markham, Ontario

SCENIC coffee + brunch

SCENIC serves up delicious coffee and Japanese-inspired brunch every single day of the week.

Their Japanese fusion dishes are paired with local ingredients, including their Yuzu Eggs Benedict, Strawberry Mochi Pancakes, and Tamagoyaki Omelette.

I adore their Okonomiyaki Grilled Cheese, with is topped with nori and comes with an okonomiyaki dipping sauce!

For drinks, they’ve got all your typical coffee offerings made with locally-roasted coffee, alongside tea options like matcha and hojicha.

They’ve even got more unique drink options, like their Kinako Soy Latte and Black Sesame Latte.

They were actually originally located in Markham, but they recently moved over to Leslieville!

O’Somae

Visit this East End brunch spot for their unique brunch plates, all made from scratch.

Opt for dishes like their Duck Confit Poutine, Fried Chicken Burger, or Crab Cake Benny.

They’ve also got picnic boxes available for takeout, perfect for ordering and bringing over to Riverdale Park for a cozy little brunch picnic!

Pasaj

If you’re craving Mediterranean-style eats, you’ll definitely want to hit up Pasaj in Leslieville.

They serve up Turkish-style brunch and baked goods, including eggs benedicts with sumac hollandaise on zucchini fritters.

Their Grandma’s Pancakes are a must-try – picture a stack of milky-soft pancakes, topped with sour cherry jam, tahini helva, labne, and pistachios.

Their gorgeous, glass-enclosed space lets all the light in, and the decor feels very luxurious.

This spot is actually by the same folks behind Simit & Chai, a popular bakery on King West known for their simit (Turkish bagels)!

Avling Kitchen & Brewery

Find this aesthetically-pleasing, farm-to-table brewpub located right in Leslieville.

They offer up a frequently-changing brunch menu, all made with ethically and responsibly-farmed Canadian ingredients.

From their Farmer’s Breakfast with bacon from Perth, to their Mushroom Benny with Ontario mushrooms, you’ll find plenty of delicious menu items.

They even have their own 4,000 square foot urban rooftop farm, where they grow all kinds of produce for their dishes and botanicals for their own beers!
