It’s officially autumn in the city, so it’s time to get to planning those fall date ideas.
I’m all about the mild weather and beautiful fall foliage – it’s the perfect time to get out and explore the city!
No matter what you’re interested in, there are plenty of unique date ideas you can do in Toronto during the fall season.
Whether it’s checking out the fall foliage or wandering through an event in the city, there are plenty of awesome things to do in Toronto during the fall!
Here are some unique fall date ideas in Toronto, guaranteed to impress your date.
1. See the fall foliage in High Park
High Park is the perfect place to stroll through for some gorgeous fall foliage!
Bring along some sandwiches and coffees for a cute fall picnic date by the picturesque pond.
If you’re up for getting some exercise, you can rent a Bike Share and ride along the bike trails!

2. Explore Scarborough Bluffs
The Scarborough Bluffs is beautiful year-round, but fall is definitely my favourite season to explore it.
Spend a romantic afternoon admiring all the gorgeous fall foliage and watching the waves crash against the beach!
Just be smart and don’t stand too close to any cliff edges or anything, ya know.

3. Hike at Glen Stewart Ravine
If you’re looking to get out of the city while not actually having to get out of the city, Glen Stewart Ravine is the perfect place to go.
Hike through the forest, walk along the picturesque boardwalk, and enjoy the gorgeous views!
It’s especially incredible during the fall with all the changing leaves, and it’s super Instagrammable if that’s what your partner’s into!
It’s located in the Beaches neighbourhood, so you can walk along the boardwalk at the Beaches afterwards to enjoy the fall weather even more.

4. Watch a TIFF film together
Watching a movie during the Toronto International Film Festival is completely different than watching a movie any other day.
The excitement, the hustle and bustle, the celebrities – it’s just such a fun and unique experience!
Take your date on an exclusive VIP experience with a TIFF screening and a romantic dinner in the Entertainment District.
TIFF is having drive-in screenings this year, which is even more fun!

5. Wander around Nuit Blanche
While Nuit Blanche is usually filled with drunk crowds and rowdy teenagers, it’s not so bad if you go right when it starts at 7 PM.
Spend the evening wandering around the city and looking at cool works of art with your S/O.
Stay out all night, or go home at 9 PM to binge-watch some horror movies together.
Nuit Blanche isn’t happening this year, but it’s a good date idea to keep in mind for next year!
6. Get artsy at a sculpture making class
Looking to do something a little more unique and hands-on to impress your date?
Try your hand at a sculpture making class in Toronto, or maybe even a paint night date.
With the weather getting colder, you’ll want to cozy up inside anyway!
Afterwards, hit up a trendy restaurant on Queen West for some good food and drinks.
7. Get competitive at Snakes & Lattes
If you and your S/O are the competitive types, spend an evening playing board games at Snakes & Lattes.
Yes, you can play board games at home, but there are so many more options at Snakes.
Whether you’re into strategy games or word games, they’ve got pretty much any game you could ever want to play!
And their Nutella lattes are delicious!

8. Taste food at St. Lawrence Market
What better way to warm up your bellies than with some delicious food?
Spend a morning or afternoon wandering around the St. Lawrence Market and tasting all kinds of different foods!
Whether you’re feeling an authentic Montreal bagel or tasty European perogies, it’s the perfect spot for a foodie date.
Afterwards, you can do a little exploring in the Old Toronto neighbourhood, which is where the city originated!

9. Get spooky at Halloween Haunt
In the mood to get a good scare with your S/O?
Pay a visit to Halloween Haunt at Canada’s Wonderland.
You may get chased away from your partner by a freaky clown, but at least you can call it a unique date…
Wonderland is closed this year, but keep it in mind for next year!

10. Work up a sweat at Pursuit OCR
If you and your S/O are into fitness, you’ll want to stop by for a day of working up a sweat at Pursuit OCR.
Compete against your partner in the obstacle courses and jump into the ball pit!
Adam and I spent an afternoon at Pursuit OCR for my birthday a few years ago and it was a lot of fun!

11. Try your hand at axe throwing
Looking for something exciting and different to do for date night?
Axe throwing is the perfect date night activity if you’re in the mood to do something a little more adventurous.
