Searching for the best restaurants on Queen Street West in Toronto to eat at?
Queen West is one of the coolest neighbourhoods in the city – from cool vintage boutiques to delicious restaurants, there’s plenty to do in the area.
Queen Street West actually runs from the Eaton Centre at Yonge Street all the way to Roncesvalles Avenue in Parkdale, so it’s quite a long way.
The stretch of Queen from Yonge up until Bathurst is known as Queen West, while the area from Bathurst up until Roncesvalles is known as West Queen West.
To make life easier, I’ve included restaurants and food spots across the entire stretch of Queen West, no matter which part you’re looking to visit.
Here’s your guide to the best restaurants in Toronto’s Queen Street West neighbourhood, starting from east to west!

The best restaurants on Queen Street West

Planta Queen
Whether you’re vegan or not, you’ll definitely enjoy eating at Planta Queen.
Their Queen location has a focus on Asian-inspired dishes, including vegan sushi, noodles, and dumplings.
Their OG spot was on Yorkville, and now they’ve got a few locations across the city and in the USA.
All of their spots are v Instagrammable if you’re in search of Instagram-worthy restaurants to eat at.
LOCATION: 180 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON

Niuda Hand-Pulled Noodles
If you’re craving authentic Chinese food in Toronto, you’ll definitely want to visit Niuda Noodles.
They hand-pull their noodles fresh on a daily basis, and if you dine inside the restaurant, you can see them in action!
Try their Dan Dan Noodles and Beef Dumplings – they’re absolutely incredible.
I also have a blog post all about my Niuda Noodles restaurant review if you’re curious to see more of the menu!
LOCATION: 204 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON
Salad King
Salad King is one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto, and their Yonge St. location has been a fave of Ryerson students for years!
They now also have a location on Queen West, where you can enjoy everything from their Khao Soi to Green Curry.
They’ve also got a secret menu, and their Islamic Noodles are da best.
You can choose your spiciness level from 1 to 20 chilis as well!
LOCATION: 224 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON

Queen St. Warehouse
Queen St. Warehouse is one of my go-to cheap spots to eat in Toronto.
Because all their dishes are only $5.95 to $7.95, you can expect to always wait in long lines to get a table at any of the Warehouse restaurants.
The portions are a decent size and the food is pretty good, so it’s worth the wait.
They’re part of the Warehouse group of restaurants in Toronto, all known for their cheap (but delicious) eats and extensive drink menus.
LOCATION: 232 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON

Little India
I’ve been coming to Little India since I was a kid, and it’s one of the best Indian restaurants in Toronto.
Their lunch buffets are pretty dang great, and if I’m ordering a-la-carte, I pretty much always go for their Butter Chicken and Garlic Naan.
If you’re in the mood for a sweet treat, order a Mango Lassi (a mango yogurt drink) or Gulab Jamun (sweet balls of goodness)!
LOCATION: 255 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON

The Dime on Queen
The Dime is one of the best cheap food spots to eat at on Queen West, and it’s also by the same people behind Queen St. Warehouse.
Everything on their food menu is also an affordable price range of $5.95 to $7.95, including their Pulled Pork Enchiladas and Steakhouse Burger.
Their drink menu is massive with plenty of cocktail options, though it is a bit pricy (which balances out with their cheap food options).
LOCATION: 538 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON
Terroni
Terroni is one of Toronto’s best Italian restaurants, and they serve up amazing Southern Italian dishes and pizza.
I always get the Spaghetti in Canna a Mare, which is a seafood pasta.
Their Queen West location is their OG spot, but they’ve now got restaurants and café across the city!
LOCATION: 720 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON

Fresh Restaurants
Fresh is one of my favourite vegan restaurants in Toronto, especially because their food doesn’t taste vegan, if you know what I mean.
Their burgers are absolutely amazing, as well as their onion rings.
While I love them for their vegan comfort foods, they’ve also got healthy food options like bowls and salads.
They’ve got a bunch of locations across Toronto, including on Queen West.
LOCATION: 894 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON

Fonda Lola Mexican Bistro
Mexican cuisine is so much more than just tacos, and you can experience it all at Fonda Lola on Queen West.
This adorable Mexican bistro serves up incredible and authentic Mexican food and margaritas, and they’ve got a gorgeous and cozy patio.
They also serve up Mexican brunch if you’re looking to try something unique, and you can peep out more of their menu in my Fonda Lola restaurant review!
LOCATION: 942 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON
Otto’s Bierhalle
Otto’s serves up local craft beer and amazing German shareable feasts in the trendy Queen West neighbourhood.
They’ve got a spacious interior with plants hanging from the ceiling and a disco-friendly bathroom (if you know, you know).
If you’re into sausages and sauerkraut, you’ll definitely love Otto’s.
LOCATION: 1087 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON
The Good Son
You’ll find some of the best pizzas in Toronto at The Good Son, alongside some other amazing shareable dishes like Jerk Shrimp and Steak Tartare.
Go for a classic Margherita pizza or try something more unique like their Mauna Loa (with smoked pork cheek, roasted pineapple, and scotch bonnet).
They use local, seasonal, and organic produce and hormone-free and free-range proteins in their dishes, a lot of which are cooked in their wood-fired oven!
The interior of their Queen West restaurant is super cool, and they also have a gorgeous restaurant in North York at Shops at Don Mills.
LOCATION: 1096 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON
North of Brooklyn Pizzeria
Can’t get enough of pizza?
You can enjoy New York-style pizza at North of Brooklyn, also one of Toronto’s best pizzerias.
Go for a classic Margherita pizza or try their Killer Bee topped with jalapenos and honey!
They’ve got a small menu made up of 14″ and 18″ pizzas, salads, and garlic knots.
Their Queen West location is just west of Bathurst, and they’ve also got 4 other locations across the city.
LOCATION: 650 Queen St. West, Toronto, ON

Grand Electric
Grand Electric serves up some of the best tacos in Toronto, and it’s also got one of the best patios in Toronto.
The inside of their restaurant may not be huge, but the cute patio out back makes up for it!
Their Mission Wings are to die for, and their Baja Fish Tacos are pretty dang great.
They’ve also got a selection of craft cocktails if you’re in the mood for a drank!
If you’re looking to do a little shopping nearby, House of Vintage and Public Vintage are both amazing vintage clothing shops nearby.
