Allwyn’s Bakery

Pop into this no-frills, family-owned shop specializing in Caribbean specialties like Jamaican patties and Jerk chicken.

Take your pick between mild or spicy beef, chicken, or veggie patties.

Their famous jerk sauce is made in-house from scratch, and they serve up some of the best Jerk chicken in Toronto.

Allwyn’s started out as a humble takeout shop in North York, and they’ve since grown to have 7 locations across the GTA!

You can find one location on Queen West, one in Etobicoke, and two in North York.

Be sure to bring cash as well, as they only accept cash!

Golden Patty

Golden Patty serves up Jamaican patties and West Indian staples at their takeout shop in Kensington Market.

You’ll find an extensive selection of affordable patty options, including jerk chicken, callaloo (a Jamaican veggie dish), and ackee saltfish.

If you’re looking for something a bit heavier, try their Jerk Pork Roti!

Crumbs Gourmet Patties

Stop into this counter-service takeout shop in Kensington Market for their golden Jamaican patties.

You’ll find classic beef patties, but the unique thing about this spot is that they’ve got totally untraditional Jamaican patties!

Try their Crumbs Stuffed Patties, which is sort of like a cheeseburger, or opt for their Crumbs Pizza Pouch, which is like a Pizza Pocket (but better).

They’ve even got Crumbs Breakfast-Brunch Patties, which are patties stuffed with buttery scrambled eggs!

LOCATION: 160 Baldwin St Unit 7B, Toronto, ON

The Caribbean Queen of Patties

This cozy spot in Bloordale Village dishes up Caribbean eats, including, of course, patties.

Take your pick between their veggie, beef, or chicken patties, all of which are super meaty and flavourful.

Aside from their patties, you can also enjoy dishes like oxtail, jerk pork, and roti.

Patty King

This beloved patty shop in Scarborough serves up traditional Jamaican patties and dishes like Jerk chicken.

You can enjoy mild or spicy beef, chicken, or vegetable patties.

Take note that all of their patties contain beef suet, so the veggie one isn’t vegetarian!

They also only accept cash, so be sure to have some on-hand.

Located near the 401 and Midland, Patty King is a little further out from the city, but it’s so worth the trek.

This family-owned business has been in operation since 1981 – over 40 years!

LOCATION: 321 Progress Ave, Scarborough, ON

Patty Time

Patty Time is another great Caribbean takeout shop in Scarborough, and you’ll find them by Brimley & Lawrence.

Chef Craig Wong is behind JunePlum, a grab-and-go takeout shop offering up decadent Jamaican patties.

Their unique patties are made in a pyramid shape with an X fold, so there’s more room for filling.

Choose between their Smoked Brisket in Oxtail Gravy, Curry G.O.A.T, or Coconut Crab Rundown – you can’t go wrong with any of them.

They’ve even got a Vegan Cashew Callaloo Rundown for my plant-based friends!

They’ve even got other internationally-inspired dishes, like their Likklemore’s Lobster Chow Mein!

And of course, you’re here for the patties, and their Likkle Patties are worth coming for.

Their crispy and succulent patties come in a set of three, and they’re made with braised oxtail and spicy beef.
