On the hunt for the best roti spots in Toronto to visit?

There ain’t nothing more satisfying than a mouthwatering bite of roti stuffed with delicious curry.

If you don’t know what roti is, it’s a type of Indian flatbread.

The roti dish comes from the Caribbean, and it’s basically curry stuffed inside a roti wrap!

You’ll find plenty of amazing Indian and Caribbean spots in Toronto serving up roti.

Without further ado, here are some of the best roti spots to visit in Toronto!

Roti Cuisine of India

Roti Cuisine of India serves up some of the best roti in Toronto, and they source their fresh ingredients from local farmers’ markets.

You can choose between roti or rice dishes, and they have both vegetarian and meat options!

Their Lamb Korma Roti is my absolute fave, and I can have it as two meals because the portions are massive.

There is minimal seating inside the restaurant, but it’s definitely more of a takeout spot!

Indian Roti House

Indian Roti House is another amazing roti spot in Toronto, and they have a huge selection of vegetarian, meat, and seafood roti.

The Lamb Korma Roti here is also pretty dang amazing!

Don’t forget to grab a sweet, sweet Mango Lassi to enjoy with your roti.

You can find them on Church in the Village or on Queens Quay by the Harbourfront.

You can also order ahead on their website for pickup, which is super convenient!

Mona’s Roti-Caribbean Food

This beloved Scarborough spot serves up some of the best roti in the GTA, and it’s definitely worth the trek east of the city.

You can choose between dahlpuri roti (with split peas) or paratha roti (plain), then choose your veggie, protein, and spiciness.

Go for a classic Curry Chicken or Curry Goat filling, or something different like Fry Cod Fish or Curry Duck!

LOCATION: 4810 Sheppard Ave E, Scarborough, ON


Ali’s West Indian Roti Shop

This casual Parkdale spot specializes in West Indian cuisine, and all their meat dishes are halal.

They’ve got a variety of paratha roti options, including Duck, King Fish, and Stew Oxtail!

If you love it spicy, they even make their own house-made hot sauce.

You’ll definitely also want to grab a scoop of their homemade ice cream – choose between coconut, mango, soursoup, or vegan mango coconut!

Pam’s Roti Shop

This well-loved roti shop near Bloor & Dufferin serves up a small menu of roti options, including Curry Shrimp, Jerk Chicken, and Bone-In Oxtail.

Their roti dishes also come with a small fresh-cut salad, which is a nice touch!

Simone’s Caribbean Restaurant

This cheerful Caribbean restaurant in Greektown serves up traditional, home-style Jamaican dishes, including roti.

They’ve got a wide variety of roti options, from their Goat Roti Potatoes Roti to their Jerk Chicken Potatoes Roti!

All of their rotis are also served with either coleslaw or salad.

They’ve also got plenty of delicious appetizer options, including Codfish Fritters and Fried Plantain!

Tasty’s Caribbean Restaurant

Find classic Caribbean dishes like Jerk Chicken and Curry Goat alongside delicious roti wraps at Tasty’s.

The roti comes with your choice of meat, potatoes, chickpeas, and your choice of spiciness!

You can find Tasty’s by College & Spadina.

Smoke ‘N’ Roti

Smoke ‘N’ Roti serves up jerk chicken, curries, roti, and more at their North York restaurant.

They’ve got a variety of filling options to choose from, including Curry Chicken, Jerk Pork, and Premium Oxtail!

You can also choose between dhalpuri or plain paratha skin for the bread.

The inside of their small shop is also lovely, with colourful chairs and painted murals!

Butter Chicken Roti in Toronto

Butter Chicken Roti

Butter Chicken Roti is a local Indian roti chain with locations across the GTA.

They’ve got tons of different roti options for both meat eaters and vegetarians, and you can add additional toppings if you want!

Their Butter Chicken Roti is their signature, and it’s v delicious.

You can even choose your spiciness on 6 different levels, ranging from mild to nuclear hot (hot AKA the third spiciness level is perfect for me).

You can also find some other Indian street food dishes, like Panipuri and Aloo Tikki Chaat!

My Roti Place

Build your own perfect roti at this local Toronto chain.

You can choose between classic, turmeric, or kale roti, fill it with your choice of protein, then choose from their selection of Indian curries!

They offer vegan and gluten-free options, and you can even choose your heat.

You’ll also find a selection of biryani dishes, fusion appetizers, and side dishes!

They’ve got a bunch of locations across the GTA, and their flagship store is by the Harbourfront!
