Best ramen spots in North York

Konjiki Ramen

Konjiki started out as a small 8-seat ramen shop in Tokyo, and Toronto was actually their very first international destination!

Chef Atsushi Yamamoto’s amazing ramen even earned him a Michelin Star for his Tokyo restaurant.

They make their noodles fresh using a Japanese-imported machine, and their soup base is made with a blend of clam, chicken, and pork.

From their Smokey Black Tonkotsu Ramen to their Spicy Miso Ramen, they’ve got a variety of ramen options to choose from.

I love that they also add a Canadian twist to their dishes, using locally-sourced ingredients like truffle and porcini mushrooms.

You can even order a Mini Pork Belly Don or Mini Chashu Don as a side!

Konjiki has two locations in North York: one on Yonge near North York Centre Station, and one inside Yorkdale Mall.

They’ve also got locations downtown and in Markham!

Sansotei Ramen in Richmond Hill

Sansotei Ramen

Sansotei is a Toronto-based ramen shop serving up delicious Tonkotsu ramen inspired by traditional ramen from the Kyushu and Hokkaido regions of Japan.

They even source some of their ingredients directly from Japan, which is really cool!

Their hearty pork bone broth is made fresh daily, and you can choose from a variety of different ramen options on the menu.

Opt for the classic Tonkotsu Ramen or try something unique like their Tomato Ramen!

If you can handle spicy dishes, you should definitely grab the Spicy Tantan Ramen – it’s so good, but oh so spicy.

Sansotei’s North York location is by Yonge & Finch, and they’ve also got a bunch of locations all across the GTA, including at the Eaton Centre and inside Union Station.

I’ve also got a TikTok video featuring their Richmond Hill location if you’re interested in seeing more!

LOCATION: 13 Byng Ave, North York, ON

Kinton Ramen in Toronto

Kinton Ramen

Kinton was one of the very first authentic ramen restaurants to come to Toronto, and they’ve got a location in North York.

Their soup base is made with a blend of pork bone stock, chicken stock, fish broth, vegetables, and filtered water, which is what makes it so flavourful.

You can choose between pork, chicken, or vegetarian ramen, and the Pork Spicy Garlic Ramen is my absolute fave.

I love that Kinton often has meal sets and prix fixe menus available, and they even have seasonal specials like their Beef Spicy Garlic Ramen and Immune Booster Ramen.

You can find their North York location on Yonge, right in the middle between Finch and Sheppard.

They’ve also got over a dozen locations across the GTA, including in Liberty Village and Scarborough.

Kinton is part of the Toronto-based Kinka Family of restaurants, which also owns Kinka Izakaya, JaBistro, and NEO Coffee Bar!

LOCATION: 5165 Yonge St, Toronto, ON

Ajisen Ramen in Markham

Ajisen Ramen

Ajisen is a Japanese ramen chain with over 750 locations worldwide, and they’ve been around since 1968!

From their Black Garlic Filet Mignon Ramen to their Spicy Chicken Ramen, they’ve got a decent selection of unique ramen options to choose from.

You can even change the broth your ramen comes with, and you can choose between 8 different broths: Original Pork, Spicy Mala, Tom Yum, Spicy Miso, Black Garlic, Shoyu, Tomato, or Miso.

I’m a lover of all things spicy, and the Spicy Mala is my fave – it’s actually not too spicy either!

Ajisen’s North York location is by Yonge & Finch, and they’ve got 7 other locations across the GTA, including in Markham and Vaughan.

LOCATION: 5229 Yonge St, Toronto, ON

Kenzo Ramen

Kenzo offers an extensive selection of ramen options inspired by various regions across Japan.

From their Sapporo-inspired Miso Ramen to their Hakata-style Spicy Charsu Ramen, you’ll find all kinds of different ramen options to choose from.

Their broth is made with a mixture of seafood, chicken, and pork, and all of their house-made ramen sauces are fermented for 3 months for their signature flavours.

Find Kenzo Ramen right by Yonge & Sheppard, or visit one of their 10 other locations across Ontario.

LOCATION: 4860 Yonge St, Toronto, ON
