Kekou Gelato in Toronto

Kekou Gelato

Kekou is one of the best and most popular gelato spots in Toronto, and you can find them just south of Yonge & Finch.

Their menu is made up of mostly Asian flavours like Black Sesame and Thai Iced Tea, and the flavours rotate by the seasons!

I pretty much always stick to either the Hong Kong Milk Tea or Vietnamese Coffee flavours, but they have plenty of amazing flavours to choose from.

They’ve also got plant-based options for my vegan friends out there, like Soursop and Mango.

They’ve also got Vietnamese Coffee, Thai Iced Tea, and HK Milk Tea if you’re in the mood for a drank.

Kekou closed their OG location on Queen West a few years ago (*cries*), but they’re now in North York!

LOCATION: 5359 Yonge St, North York, ON

Matcha soft serve from Daigyo Cafe in North York, Toronto

Daigyo Cafe

Nothing beats matcha ice cream in Asia, but in my opinion, Daigyo is as close as it gets in Toronto.

I believe Daigyo is a rebrand of Tsujiri, which hailed out of the exact same location and features pretty much the exact same menu.

Like Tsujiri, the whole menu is focused on matcha, from lattes to parfaits.

They use ceremonial-grade, premium, and organic matcha from the region of Shizuoka, which is known as the capital of tea production in Japan!

LOCATION: 4909 Yonge St, North York, ON

Craig's Cookies in Toronto

Craig’s Cookies

Craig’s is one of the most famous cookie spots in Toronto, and they’ve got some of the best dang cookies in the city.

They have a huge variety of different cookies, including Maple Bacon and Toffee!

They’ve got several locations across Toronto, including one near North York at Bayview & Eglinton.

Mr. Puffs Dessert Bar in North York, Ontario

Mr. Puffs Dessert Bar

If you love all things donuts, you’ll absolutely love Mr. Puffs.

They’re a Montreal-based dessert chain that’s expanding across Ontario, and you’ll find delicious Greek-style donuts with all kinds of different topping options.

All of their puffs are fried fresh-to-order, and you can even watch them being made behind the counter!

Adam and I tried the Strawberry Cheesecake and Biscotti Puffs, and we paired our soft serve ice cream with salted caramel and red velvet sauces.

The puffs are perfectly crispy on the outside and fluffy on the inside, and they’re oh-so-delicious.

They do kinda look like Timbits, but they taste totally different!

They’ve also got a selection of coffee, tea, and other drinks on the menu.

The Nescafé Frappe from Mr. Puffs.

I got the Nescafé Frappe, which is a Greek-style frothy iced coffee drink.

It’s not too sweet, which was a good contrast with the desserts!

It’s a takeout-style shop, but they’ve got some seating if you’re looking to dine in.

LOCATION: 808 York Mills Rd Unit 10, North York, ON

COPS Coffee & Doughnuts in Toronto

COPS Coffee & Doughnuts

This adorable Toronto doughnut shop has a few locations in the city, and you can find them in North York by Yorkdale Mall!

All of their mini doughnuts are made from scratch daily, and they’re made fresh to order.

They even worked with both a food scientist and fine dining chef to perfect their doughnut recipe!

Their two classic flavours are Cinnamon Sugar and OG Sour Cream Glaze, and they also drop a new, limited-edition flavour every Monday.

The Rolling Pin

If you’re in the mood for more traditional donuts, you can pay a visit to The Rolling Pin in North York.

From Crème Brûlée to Brown Butter Hazelnut, they’ve got plenty of delicious doughnut flavours to choose from.

They’ve actually got a daily donut schedule, so they serve up a set selection of doughnut flavours each day of the week!

They used to be located by Yonge & Lawrence, and now they’re located nearby by Avenue Road and the 401.

LOCATION: 1970 Avenue Rd, North York, ON

Bloomer’s

If you’re looking for vegan donuts in Toronto, Bloomer’s is your spot.

Their doughnuts are handcrafted each morning with daily rotating flavours, and they also offer cakes, breads, and more.

They’ve got staple doughnut flavours like their Rose Pistachio and Birthday Cake alongside seasonal specials like their Campfire S’mores and Blueberry Lemon.

You can find them at Bayview Village, and they’ve also got locations on Queen West, Bloor West, and in Mississauga!

Short & Sweet Bakeshop

Short & Sweet is a super cute and dreamy little bake shop in North York serving up adorable cakes, cupcakes, and more.

I don’t think they have milkshakes anymore, but they’ve got plenty of delectable and Instagrammable treats.

They’ve also got an adorable neon sign in-store!

Cheese Garden

If you’re in the mood for Asian pastries and baked goods, you’ll want to stop into Cheese Garden, one of Toronto’s best cake shops.

Their space is bright and aesthetically pleasing, and their cakes are fluffy and decadent.

They have all kinds of delish and modern takes on classic Japanese cheesecakes, including their Uji Matcha Cheesecake and Double Fromage Cheesecake!

La Rocca Creative Kitchen

If you haven’t tried La Rocca’s delicious cakes before, prepare to be amazed.

All I have to say is that you need to try their red velvet cake. JUST DO IT AND THANK ME LATER.

Ladurée Yorkdale

Enjoy the pink and teal decor of your dreams at the Yorkdale location of iconic French pastry brand, Ladurée.

Ladurée may be inside a mall, but it’s still one of the cutest and most Instagrammable spots in North York!

Macarons at Ladurée Vancouver, British Columbia

And even though they’re a chain, they do make some dang delicious macarons.

You’ll find classic macaron flavours like Salted Caramel, Coffee, and Lemon.

You can also enjoy afternoon tea here if you’re looking for a fun experience!

They’ve also got another location in the PATH in the Financial District with all the tropical vibes.

LOCATION: 3401 Dufferin St, North York, ON

Demetres in Downtown Markham

Demetres

Demetres has been around for quite a long time, and they’ve been one of my go-to spots for dessert since I was in high school!

They’re all about decked out crepes, waffles, and sundaes, and all their menu offerings have fun, punny names related to pop culture.

Demetres in Markham, Ontario

They’ve got a location in North York at Shops at Don Mills, and it’s absolutely gorgeous inside.

Their newer locations are super Instagram-worthy, including their Burlington and Downtown Markham locations!
