Looking for Toronto restaurants doing their own delivery so they don’t have to pay hefty commission fees to food apps?
If you didn’t already know, Toronto restaurants are paying up to 30% commissions to food delivery apps, which takes a large amount of their margins.
If it’s possible for you, it’s best to order for takeout or delivery directly from your local restaurants, so they get the full amount!
You might have to order ahead of time or call in to some of these restaurants, but if you’re looking to support them the best way you can, ordering directly from them is it.
A lot of these restaurants actually use Ambassador, a service created by a local Toronto restaurant entrepreneur, and it allows restaurants to manage their own delivery and takeout without having to pay any commission fees at all!

NEO Coffee Bar
NEO Coffee Bar is a sister restaurant to the Kinka family of restaurants, and it’s actually more of a café.
They’ve got healthy sandos, Japanese desserts, and flavoured lattes, and you can order for delivery or takeout on their website.
You can also visit them at one of their two coffee shop locations in Toronto!

Kinton Ramen
Kinton Ramen is a sister restaurant to both Kinka Izakaya and NEO Coffee Bar, and they’ve got tons of restaurants across the GTA!
It’s the perfect spot in Toronto to grab a hearty bowl of ramen, and you can have it delivered right to your home with their delivery service.

Kinka Izakaya
Kinka is one of my absolute fave restaurants in Toronto, and it’s another restaurant within the Kinka family of restaurants.
They serve up Japanese izakaya eats like karaage and takoyaki, and the food is uh-mazing.

JaBistro
JaBistro is the last restaurant that’s part of the Kinka family of restaurants, and they’ve got all the sushi you can dream of.
Their specialty is aburi oshi sushi, which is flame-seared pressed sushi, and it’s absolutely amazing.
They have 2 locations in downtown Toronto, and you can order delivery or takeout on their website.

Hong Shing
Hong Shing offers family-style Chinese dishes, including both Westernized dishes like General Tao Chicken and more traditional dishes like Ma Po Tofu.
They have 3 locations across Toronto, and you can order for delivery or takeout on their website.

Jatujak
If you’ve got a craving for Thai food, Jatujak is one of the best Thai restaurants in Toronto, though they don’t actually have any restaurants downtown.
They have 3 locations in Markham and Scarborough, though only their Kingston Road location offers delivery.

Nimman Thai
Another awesome Thai restaurant is Nimman Thai, and they have 2 locations in Toronto.

Tabule
If you’re a fan of Middle Eastern cuisine, Tabule is one of the best Middle Eastern restaurants in Toronto.
They actually have 4 locations across Toronto, and you can order delivery or takeout on their website.

Cafe Landwer
Cafe Landwer is an Israeli restaurant in Toronto with Mediterranean and Italian influences.
Try one of their various shakshuka options – they even have a plant-based shakshuka available!

Banjara is one of my absolute fave Indian restaurants in Toronto.
Their lamb korma is absolutely amazing, and their butter chicken is pretty delicious as well!

Blondies Pizza
You might’ve seen this cute pink pizza spot on your Instagram feed.
They’re a pizza concept from catering company Food Dudes, and you can order their amazing pizzas for delivery or takeout on their website.
They have 4 locations across Toronto and 2 locations in Mississauga and Oakville!

North of Brooklyn Pizzeria
North of Brooklyn is another one of the best pizza spots in Toronto, and they serve up New York-style pizza that you can order right to your home.
They have a Dinner for Two, which includes a medium pizza, salad, small garlic knots, and two dips for $30!
They have a bunch of locations across Toronto, and you can order for delivery or takeout on their website.

Insomnia Restaurant
Insomnia is an Annex restaurant known for their brunch, but I’ve personally only been there for cocktails in the evening.
Choose from a variety of different eggs benedicts for brunch, or order one of their burgers for dinner.

Fresh is one of those vegan restaurants where the food doesn’t actually taste vegan, which is pretty amazing.
Their menu is full of completely vegan comfort foods, and I absolutely adore their burgers and quinoa onion rings!

The Fox on John is part of the local Fox and Fiddle family of restaurants.
They serve up British pub-style eats in the Entertainment District, and you can order for delivery or takeout on their website.
