Happy hump day, my friends! Since a few holiday events are happening this week in Toronto, I thought I’d share with you guys some of the most fun ways to kick off this holiday season in Toronto. I absolutely love the holidays, and it makes me so excited to see festive lights and decorations everywhere!

There’s so much to do here in Toronto during the holidays, but I thought I’d narrow it down a bit. Here are the best activities and things to do during the holiday season, as well as a lil’ outfit idea to celebrate all the festivities!

What to do this Holiday Season in Toronto!

1. Toronto Christmas Market in Distillery District

If there’s one thing you absolutely cannot miss during the holiday season, it’s the Christmas Market. There’s so much to eat, see, and do! It opens tomorrow, November 16th, and ends on December 23rd.

2. Watch the tree lighting ceremony at the Eaton Centre

Get some of your holiday gift shopping done, then see Canada’s tallest Christmas tree get lit up! Happening tomorrow, November 16th!

3. Holiday Magic in Yorkville

This Saturday, November 18th, the Bloor-Yorkville BIA is kicking off the holiday season with Holiday Magic, an annual community concert in support of the Canadian Foundation for Aids Research. It’s totally free and Keshia Chanté will be performing! I’ll be attending and sharing all the fun on my Instagram in partnership with the Bloor-Yorkville BIA.

4. Watch the Santa Claus Parade

The annual Santa Claus Parade is this Sunday, November 19th. It begins at Christie Pits Park and ends at St. Lawrence Market! Don’t forget to bring a warm hat and a hot drink.

5. Cavalcade of Lights at Nathan Phillips Square

Watch Toronto’s official Christmas tree get lit up and enjoy live music, skating, and fireworks! It’s all happening next Saturday, November 25th.

6. Go skating at the Natrel Rink at the Harbourfront Centre

What better way to ring in the holiday season than with some skating? The rink opens this Friday, November 17th!

7. Explore the Financial District and see all the holiday decorations

There’s so much to see in the Financial District during this time of the year. Holiday decorations and lights are everywhere and it’s stunning to see! Adam and I have made it sort of a tradition to walk around and see all the decorations during the holiday season in Toronto.

Here’s a little outfit idea for your holiday festivities! Turtlenecks are an absolute essential during the winter season. I paired this black one with a plaid faux-wrap skirt and some tall boots for a dressy yet casual look, perfect for a night out on the town! Assuming that the weather stays in the positives, of course…

Will you be celebrating at any of these events or places? How do you like to kick off the holiday season? I’d love to know in the comments!
