When Eileen decides not to come home for Christmas, her mother Eileen and mother’s friend Madea decide to surprise her with a visit, not knowing she’s secretly married to a white man.

Christmas in Vienna (2019)

After breaking up with her boyfriend in Chicago, Amy jets off to Vienna to spend Christmas with her brother.

She starts taking ballroom dancing lessons with a dashing European man who she clashes with.

It’s your typical holiday rom-com, but I love the pretty realistic dialogue and jokes.

I also learned from this movie that the main language in Austria is German, which is kinda a fun fact.

Bad Santa films (2003 & 2016)

Bad Santa is a dark comedy about two conmen who pose as Santa and his Little Helper in order to rob department stores each Christmas Eve.

Willie, who poses as Santa, is increasingly miserable and depressed this year, and he starts to change for the better after he meets a friendly little boy.

A Long Way Down (2014)

A Long Way Down is a British black comedy about four strangers who meet on a rooftop with the intentions of jumping, and decide to find reasons to live.
