NextDoor Restaurant
NextDoor serves up modern Canadian dishes with a twist.
Their burgers are super delicious, but pretty much everything they have on the menu is amazing.
They have an epic brunch tower for either 2 or 4 people if you’re looking to go all out with brunch!
They’re located in the adorable Main Street Unionville neighbourhood, and they even have their own parking lot.
LOCATION: 139 Main St Unionville, Unionville, ON
Unionville Arms Pub & Grill
Enjoy all the classic pub staples and more at the Unionville Arms, located in the adorable Main Street Unionville neighbourhood.
They’ve got 16 beer taps, including local craft brews if you’re into that!
They have a super nice patio that’s perfect for hanging out with your friends, and it’s even heated for those chillier summer nights.
They’ve also been a staple of Main Street Unionville since the late 80s!

Jake’s on Main
Jake’s is also located in the Main Street Unionville neighbourhood, and it’s the perfect spot for patio drinks.
They have a pretty large menu of comfort food apps, handhelds, burgers, pizzas, and more!
They’ve even got plenty of drink options, including a huge selection of amazing cocktails to choose from.
Order one of their mega 32oz cocktails to share with your partner or friend!
LOCATION: 202 Main St Unionville, Unionville, ON
Diana’s Oyster Bar & Grill
If you’re a fan of oysters, you absolutely need to visit Diana’s Oyster Bar & Grill in Markham.
While I’m not crazy about the cooked dishes, the fresh seafood is completely worth coming here for.
They also have $1 Malpeque oysters every single day with purchases of certain items, for both dine-in and takeout!
My fave oysters are Raspberry Point, French Kiss, Kusshi, and Malpeque.
Since they don’t actually have space for a patio, the patio is in the parking lot.
Nevertheless, still one of the best patios to visit in Markham!

Smash Kitchen and Bar
Smash puts unique spins on classic comfort food dishes, and they’re actually a sister restaurant to NextDoor Restaurant in Main Street Unionville!
Their burgers are super delicious, but pretty much everything they have on the menu is amazing.
They’re located on Highway 7, and they’ve also got a great enclosed patio for you to enjoy your hearty brunch.
LOCATION: 4261 Hwy 7, Unionville, ON
Good Catch Bar & Café
Good Catch serves up amazing Hong Kong-style fare and western-style seafood comfort dishes at their spot in Downtown Markham.
Their restaurant is split between a Hong Kong-style café and seafood sports bar, though you can order from either menu on either side!
They’ve also got a large and spacious patio, perfect for enjoying a pint of local craft beer.
We especially love their Pineapple Bun with Satay Beef & Egg and Curry Beef Brisket with Udon – any dish with their satay beef or curry is amaze.
Their double cheese baked dishes are amazing as well – you can choose between either rice or spaghetti for them!
You’ll also find unique dishes you won’t find at any other HK cafés, like their Sakura Shrimp and Chicken Fried Rice or their Prawn and Truffle Scrambled Eggs on Rice.
They’ve also got unique brunch dishes, like their Crab Cake Benedict and Charcoal Toast with Milo Condensed Milk.
Most of their HK dishes come with a combo drink, and we love their Hong Kong-style Milk Tea, which you can have iced or hot!
If you’re craving western-style seafood dishes instead, you can grab dishes like lobster rolls and local craft beer, which is perfect for enjoying on the patio.
There’s a lot to do in Downtown Markham, so be sure to explore the neighbourhood after filling up your belly!

Demetres
I’ve been going to Demetres for desserts for as long as I can remember, and their Downtown Markham location is definitely the nicest one.
It’s got a gorgeous and Instagrammable interior, and there’s also an outdoor patio for you to enjoy your ice cream crepes!
If you haven’t been to Demetres before, you’ll definitely appreciate the punny menu items when you see them.
