Best Valentine’s Day restaurants in Toronto

Kinka Izakaya
I absolutely adore Kinka Izakaya, and it’s actually one of my favourite restaurants in Toronto.
Izakayas are a type of Japanese bar where tapas and drinks are served, and they’re so much fun to visit.
Kinka has several locations across the city, including in the Annex and in North York (by Yonge & Sheppard).
Choose between their 8-course set menu for $38 per person or their 10-course set menu for $55 per person – quite affordable for Valentine’s Day dinners in Toronto!
You can also order from their a la carte menu instead, and their Oyster Kakimayo and Kinoko Cheese Bibimbap are both must-order dishes.
They’ve also got fantastic Japanese-inspired cocktails that you can enjoy alongside your romantic dinner for two!

Bar’kada
This chic and upscale Filipino restaurant is the perfect spot to take your Valentine’s date.
Share the Bar’kada Platter for $135, which comes with a lil’ bit of everything, including their Honey Adobo Chicken Wings, Roasted Pork Belly, and Lola’s Lumpia.
For dessert, enjoy their incredible Ube Crème Brûlée.
You can also enjoy some of their signature Filipino-inspired cocktails with your Valentine’s Day dinner, like their Lychee Watermelon Vodka and their Tita Paloma.
Their space is super beautiful and modern, and they’ve even got a cool neon sign with their name on it!

Miss Likklemore’s
Miss Likklemore’s serves up upscale Caribbean-inspired dishes in their stunning space.
You’ll find delicious and unique dishes like their Tempura Okra, Sea Bream Crudo, and Mac Pie!
Order their 4-course Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu for $95 per person and take your pick for all the courses.
You can order the special Valentine’s Day set menu from February 10th to 14th for dinner, and wine pairings are also available!

Myth
Enjoy traditional Greek dishes at this upscale King West spot with a gorgeous Mykonos-inspired interior.
Their Valentine’s Day 3-course choice-of menu is $95 per person, and includes a variety of Greek delicacies.
For the mezze, you can choose between options like grilled prawns, spinach pie salad, or beef carpaccio, and for mains, enjoy options like their Lobster Youvetsi or 45 Day Dry-Aged Ribeye!
Definitely come back again during the summer months and enjoy their stunning patio.

Le Sélect Bistro
Le Sélect Bistro is a gorgeous Parisian bistro in the Fashion District, and they recently re-opened after closing during the pandemic!
They serve up classic French cuisine and an extensive wine list of over 1,000 bottles.
They’ve got an exclusive 4-course Valentine’s Day menu for $125 per person, and you even get options for all the courses.
Enjoy dishes like their Escargots Bourguignons, Duck Confit, and Mille Feuille!
Definitely come back during the summer to enjoy their beautiful front patio.

Maison Selby
Maison Selby is one of Toronto’s best French restaurants, and they serve up upscale French cuisine and craft cocktails in their gorgeous, century-old space.
Enjoy elevated French dishes like their Duck Liver Parfait with locally-sourced Brodflour baguette and their Steak Frites with your choice of flat iron or filet steak.
They also serve up brunch on the weekends, with unique dishes like Eggs Hemingway, French Onion Beef Chuck Burger, and Roasted Peach Waffle.
They’ve got a special Valentine’s Day tasting menu for $130 per person, with dishes like their shrimp & scallop agnolotti, beef & foie “croustillant”, and mille feuille!
You can also enjoy their regular 5-course Chef’s tasting menu for $99 per person.

Yuzu No Hana
If you’re looking to enjoy some omakase in Toronto, you’ll definitely want to take your Valentine’s date to Yuzu No Hana.
This upscale sushi restaurant in Toronto has an 8-course omakase for $140, which includes an oyster shooter, sashimi, karei no karage, black angus beef tataki, black cod hobayaki, asari miso, sushi, and dessert.
Alternatively, they’ve got a sushi omakase for $80, which includes 14 chef-selected pieces of sushi.
They don’t specifically have a Valentine’s Day menu, but Valentine’s Day is the perfect time to splurge on some of the best sushi in Toronto!

JaBistro
Sushi is the perfect date night dinner, especially if you’re looking to enjoy a special Valentine’s Day treat.
JaBistro is an amazing restaurant that’s part of the Kinka Family of restaurants, and they’re all about traditional Japanese sushi and sashimi with an elegant twist.
You can enjoy their 5-course Winter Soirée prix fixe menu from now through February 14th, and it’s $145 per person.
It includes Lobster Miso Soup, Premium Sashimi Sampler, Uni Chawanmushi, Premium Sushi, and Chocolate Lava Cake.
It’s the perfect spot to take the seafood lover in your life!
LOCATION: 222 Richmond St W, Toronto, ON

Miku Toronto
Miku is another one of the best sushi restaurants in Toronto, and it’s a fantastic spot to take your date for Valentine’s Day.
Enjoy their Kaiseki menu for $160 per person – it’s a traditional Japanese dining experience where you get to have a bunch of small dishes on handcrafted Japanese plateware.
It includes Winter Hassun (a platter of seasonal dishes), Butter Poached King Crab, Snake River Farms Wagyu, an assortment of premium sushi, and Sakekasu Ice Cream Parfait.
They also have wine and sake pairings available for an additional $50 per person!
You can also order their 5-course Valentine’s Day kaiseki menu for $165 per person, and it’s exclusively available for dinner on February 14th!

Jumi Gozen Bar
Jumi Gozen Bar offers up a unique dining experience in Toronto, and it’s the very first gozen bar in the city!
Gozen is a traditional Japanese meal set featuring a main dish, rice, soup, tsukudani (pickles), and multiple side dishes, all served together beautifully on a tray.


It’s also known as the “Emperor’s Meal”, because it was historically served to high class emperors and nobles of the Japanese empire.
Every single detail of every dish is artfully crafted by the chefs right in front of you, so it’s a very cool and intimate experience.


Their special Valentine’s Day gozen set menu offering is $160 per person, and beverage pairings are available.
You can enjoy delicious dishes like their A5 Wagyu skewer, O-toro handroll, and Hokkaido scallop katsu.
Book your reservation for dinner from February 9th to 14th for either the 5:30 PM timeslot or the 8 PM timeslot!

You can find Jumi Gozen Bar’s gorgeous restaurant in North York, located near Fairview Mall.

DaiLo
DaiLo serves up incredible Chinese dishes made using French techniques, and everything is absolutely amazing.
Order the DaiLo’s Choice tasting menu for $108 per person, where the chef decides the entire meal from start to finish.
They even have a Premium DaiLo’s Choice menu available, as well as optional wine pairings!
You can visit their stunning restaurant right in the heart of Little Italy.
LOCATION: 503 College St, Toronto, ON
R&D
If you’re a MasterChef Canada fan (watch it on Crave Canada), you’ll definitely want to pay a visit to R&D in Chinatown.
It’s co-owned by Eric Chong, the season one winner, and Alvin Leung, one of the judges and one of the few self-trained Michelin Star chefs in the world!
R&D actually received Bib Gourmand designation on the 2022 Toronto Michelin Guide, which is really cool.
They serve up Chinese food with a Canadian flare, with fun dishes like their French Onion Spring Roll, Charred Broccolini Gomae, and Shrimp Toast.
You’ll also find a variety of unique signature cocktails, like their Emotional Damage (lol), Forbidden Old Fashioned, and Lychee Martini!
Enjoy their 5-course Valentine’s Day tasting menu for $120 per person, which includes Kusshi oysters, a divine dim sum duo, Koshihikari risotto, A5 wagyu tenderloin, and a chocolate tart!
LOCATION: 241 Spadina Ave, Toronto, ON
Richmond Station
Richmond Station is a fancy spot near Yonge & Dundas with incredible and seasonal dishes.
They’ve got a 6-course Valentine’s Day tasting menu for $150 per person, with dishes like their East Coast Scallop Crudo and Charcoal Grilled Lake Huron Trout.
Vegetarian substitutions are available, and they can accommodate most dietary restrictions with at least 48 hours notice.
Beverage pairings are also available for $99 per person!
The interesting thing about Richmond Station is that tips are factored into their pricing, so they totally discourage tipping at their restaurant!
If you’re looking to enjoy a Valentine’s Day dinner at home instead, you can order their special Dinner for Two menu for $199, which includes a meat or vegetarian option.

George Restaurant
George Restaurant is a popular spot in Toronto known for their tasting menus, and Valentine’s Day is the perfect excuse to order.
They don’t actually have a Valentine’s Day tasting menu, but they do have their regular tasting menus!
You can choose between 5 courses ($135 per person), 7 courses ($155), or 10 courses ($175).
They also have vegetarian tasting menus available with 5 courses ($100), 7 courses ($115), or 10 courses ($135).
You can also add wine pairings for an additional $110 to $135, depending on the number of courses you order.
They use local and seasonal ingredients for their dishes, and their seafood is responsibly harvested!
LOCATION: 111C Queen St E, Toronto, ON
Café Boulud
Café Boulud is a French brasserie by Michelin Star Chef Daniel Boulud, and it’s located inside the Four Seasons Hotel in Yorkville.
They offer a seasonally-changing menu with a mix of bistro classics and contemporary dishes, and they’ve got a special 7-course Valentine’s Day menu for $215 per person.
Enjoy dishes like Caviar and Pomme Souffle, Bluefin Tuna and Foie Gras, and Alaskan King Crab & Apple.
Wine pairings are also available for an additional $95 per person!
If you’re looking to do a Valentine’s staycation in Toronto, you can stay at the romantic Four Seasons Hotel for the night.

Canoe Restaurant
Seeing Toronto from 54 storeys high is pretty dang romantic if you ask me.
Adam and I went to Canoe in the Financial District for the first time on Valentine’s Day several years ago when we were just students.

We came with a gift card and no idea about what “tasting menus” were, and we were definitely in for a shock when we got the bill lol.
Their Valentine’s Day tasting menu is $225 per person and features 8 courses, including dishes like Atlantic oyster, roasted halibut, and bison strip loin.

Be sure to ask for a window seat with a view of the CN Tower when you make your reservations!
LOCATION: 66 Wellington St W 54th floor, Toronto, ON
LOUIX LOUIS
A decadent 3-course Valentine’s Day prix fixe menu will be available at LOUIX LOUIS on February 14th for $265 per person.
The multi-course menu includes incredible and unique dishes like their Tuna & Caviar Churro, Oysters & Beetroot, and Steak & Lobster!
LOUIX LOUIS is located on the 31st floor of The St. Regis Toronto, which is the perfect spot for a luxurious Valentine’s Day staycation.
LOCATION: 325 Bay St, Toronto, ON

Alo
Alo has long been named as one of Toronto’s best restaurants, and they even earned one Michelin Star on the 2022 Toronto Michelin Guide!
This contemporary French restaurant serves up internationally-inspired, multi-course tasting menus using seasonal ingredients.
They have a special Valentine’s Day tasting menu, and you’ll have to reserve seats ahead of time on Tock.

Kitchen counter seats are sold out already, but you can dine at the bar room for $250 per person or inside the dining room for $350 per person.
Their gorgeous restaurant is on the third floor of a heritage Victorian building, located just outside of Chinatown!
LOCATION: 163 Spadina Ave, 3rd Floor, Toronto, ON

Don Alfonso 1890 Toronto
Don Alfonso is known as the best Italian restaurant outside of Italy, and they even earned one Michelin Star on the 2022 Toronto Michelin Guide.
Celebrate Valentine’s Day with their 4-course early Chef’s tasting menu ($250) or 8-course late Chef’s tasting menu ($350), which both include sommelier-led wine pairings.
Or, you can enjoy their lounge menu with a deposit of $100 per person.
You’ll have to book reservations ahead of time to secure your seat!
LOCATION: 1 Harbour Square, 38th Floor, Toronto, ON

Sushi Masaki Saito
Chef Masaki Saito is the only two Michelin-Starred chef running a restaurant in Canada, and his upscale Yorkville restaurant, Sushi Masaki Saito, received two Michelin Stars on the 2022 Toronto Michelin Guide!
Their specialty and only offering is their omakase dinner menu, which costs $680 per person.
They fly their fish in exclusively from Japan, and they change up their menu by the seasons.

If you don’t know what omakase is, it’s a Japanese tradition where the chef puts together their own selection of dishes featuring the freshest seasonal seafood.
The restaurant is housed in a historic Victorian building on Avenue Road, with an Old Edo-style interior.
They even imported a 200-year old Hinoki dining counter from Nara, Japan!
They’re currently only open from Monday to Friday due to air shipments from Japan arriving on weekdays, but Valentine’s Day is on a Tuesday this year anyways!
